The aliasing and shimmering in this trailer is something straight from 10 years ago.
And that tornado looks fucking shit. it should be darker, raining, more windy.. but it's just a tornado funnel in normal daylight with few boxes flying around it

Heh so about the same landmass but reducing the amount of water and not spreading content over several smaller island like the last game did, nice.
(Getting to that volcano took forever even in the jet plane in that game ha ha.)
I dont mind the larger maps, was always fun to explore etc. since its what a open world should be.
The current one from JC4 doesnt look that great IMHO.

Ok, the driving really seems to be have improved a little, seems the vehicles finally have some mass and are not made of cardboard. But only from the bit in the beginning its still hard to tell if this counts for all vehicles.
Apart from that, im still not impressed the slightest by the shown footage.
Yeah some of these open world games are more like a theme park going through various zones differentiated in appearance but doing similar activities over and over.
Wildlands from Ubisoft fell into that, once you liberated the first region you had seen most of how the game would play from that point out with little else changing over the next 50 some hours of taking region after region other than some of them being a bit more challenging than others.
Just Cause 2 felt fairly organic and Just Cause 3 had a alright world I guess also hiding some interesting findings and easter eggs.
Somehow I am getting Dead Rising 4 kind of failure from all those videos.
