I always download super fast on 25pp. Even larger files float between 800 KB/s - 1.2 MB/s. Not the fastest speeds in the world, but those are quite fine by me.

Bugger. I am on 7.0 11A466 and eVasi0n tells me that this version isn't supported. I guess it's too late to update to 7.0.6 as I doubt Apple are still signing it - I am stuck on either what I am on, or 7.1? Either way, no jailbreak!

Pangu is safe. Just uncheck first box so it doesnt install chinese appstore. Appsynch and Afc2add work fine on 711 as well. Will be updating all three of my iPhones from 7.06 to 711 shortly for better stability.

So ... do it?
You need to click the "Restore" button. It will format it. Before that, make sure you back up. It's best to do an iCloud backup.

Anyone know if IOS 7 has had any improvements for Ipad 3? It's a slugfest with me. I have 7.0.4
Edit: Screw it. Ill update anyway. Got some weird bug with crashes the OS at certain times when swiping which i cannot reproduce and throws me into fail safe mode, so perhaps updating will fix it.

So I got an Ipad 2 still on iOS6 should I bother to update it? I don't want iOS8 because it's just so slow if I read around..

You can't update it to iOS7 anymore. You missed the boat. Either stay with 6 or you can only upgrade to 8. My advice, on an iPad 2 is stay on iOS6 until software stops supporting iOS6. We are already almost there, but you can squeeze a few more months.

There's a few games that have iOS7 requirements but I'm sure you can live without those for now.. but yeah, as Leo said, it's going to happen soon anyway.

Then stick with iOS6, you lose nothing and gain significant performance over what will happen if you swap to iOS7/8.

Lose nothing, jusu many many APIs which are available to developers, thus developers no longer supporting iOS6.

I updated my sons iPad 4, which was on an old ios version.
Having been such a long time since i have jailbroken any apple product, i am struggling to find a suitable method.
All of the methods i can find require payment, is this the norm these days. jailbreaks used to be free..
Not against making a donation but don't want to go down the wrong route..
Any info or help guys? It's on the latest ios available for the 32bit ipad 4 v10.3.3
Edit: Found the free answer with H3lix and Impactor
