Whedon alone doing TV means I'll definitely give it a try. And with HBO backing it, yeah, like I said, I'll definitely check it out.

That cast is fake duh. Just picked his typical line up of women who essentially are responsible for the deaths of his shows and other shows they're connected to. Lol.
I'm blaming acker for the death of persons of interest.
Glau for terminator show. Possibly for firefly cause fuck her.
Felicia day just runs everything.
Eliza gets everything cancelled cause shes a diva bitch.
Jewel is awesome... no faults in her.
And random casting couch cause of his metoo bs.

That's where your expectations should be.
Not on the cast. Who ever the cast is he is capable of pulling a memorable ensemble.

He did quite a bit actually.
Wether you like it or not is subjective.
Avengers 1 and 2. Even though 2 is disliked by many, his ensemble skills are worth the watch.

Eh, Whedon's strength is creating TV series. His only TV work as series creator after that period was Dollhouse. Some liked it somewhat, others didn't, but that's all he made since then TV wise. Are you going to judge him by just that? I won't.
I don't care so much about his film work, it was always all over the place. Remember, he wrote Alien Resurrection...

No. Not so much. Buffy, Angel and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. comes to mind. But then also Firefly which was fucking awesome. It seems he periodically lost his talent and regained it throughout his career. Which is also why I'm not necessarily optimistic about this.

Sure that was a mess. I don't much care for any of the Avengers movies. He did Toystory and Titan A.E. though.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. he just directed the pilot, he has practically nothing to do with it more than that. The series is ran by his bro and his bro's wife.
Buffy and Angel are beloved by a ton of people. It's ok if you feel otherwise, just saying, you know these are considered his most popular works together with Firefly?
Of course both Buffy and Angel are products of their time. Especially Buffy which started on 16mm and with largely standalone episodes. But I will argue that specifically the Wheddon directed episodes of Buffy are really great TV even today. Stuff like "The Body" come to mind.
