Price + denuvo I don't wanna buy. I already made the mistake of purchasing tekken without paying attention, it has denuvo. I refuse to support a denuvo game. Thats why I asked someone to purchase it for me, since it wont be my money lol >.>
PC Specs: A Maganavox' Odyssey
Tweaked to play Frogger, Lemmings & GTA4
I'd say it's more low-res but I suppose some people would find a bit retro too and unlike setting a sub-native resolution there's no scaling problems and the UI elements remain sharp.
The games art style is pretty nice though but then again these are also the developers behind the recent Guilty Gear game and now it's running through UE4 as well instead of UE3 which has a few advantages.
Gave in and bought it, it's truly a gem in the genre. Very easy to learn, hard to master. The story mode is forgettable and incredibly repetitive, but it does a good job as a learning tool. The way they make the player be part of the story is rather cute.
The multiplayer lobby system is a mess though, I could barely play yet alone remain in a lobby for more than 1 minute as long as it had +40/64 people in it during this week-end. Hope they quickly address this

Yeah I read a lot of complaints like that about the lobby, apparently there's just too few of them for the PC version due to it proving to be much more popular than it seems the dev anticipated.
(Having some 40.000 concurrent players the first day going by the Steam stats.)
I finished this during the weekend, and let me tell you. I haven't experienced grinding like this since Middle Earth Shadow of War. The story mode is basically you spamming RT + X for 15 hours straight!!! FUCK ME SIDEWAYS i thought i was going to put my controller through the TV. And you get to unlock Android 21 for putting up with it.
The story is pretty generic shit, i'm sure just the arcade would've sufficed but there you go.
Online play is fun, or well, was fun, but the campaign basically killed any sort of mood that i might ever have to play this again. Funny enough, spamming RT + X works in online as well, at least at low tier. Back to MHW
I don't think it's a good idea to do the whole Story mode in one go - even though it shouldn't be the case to begin with, but there's not much to expect from a fighting game's story mode but countless fights, most of the time. The Injustice series is an exception though ! Overall, they did put a reasonable amount of effort into it.
I tend to mix things up during my play sessions: Practice, Arcade, Story, Online Play..
While Story Mode is easy as pie, Arcade is on a completely different level, even more so on Hard modes - completing two of the Arcade challenges on Hard unlock Goku/Vegeta SSBSS forms for free. Getting those S/A ranks is pretty damn insane.. it's a nice warm-up for ranked matchmaking ( ie getting your ass handled to you, multiple times )
I wouldn't recommend buying this if you don't plan on getting good and pouring some serious hours into it - to put it simply, don't buy it if you're not fond of Versus fighters. Otherwise, the game can appear shallow when it offers a lot of possibilities in terms of combat gameplay.
