Yeah, I think they had some balls to show off a cyberpunk game during a clear and sunny day Very Happy
I liked a lot what I've seen, but some gameplay footage, even a couple of seconds, would be nice.

There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.

I think a daytime 'impressive' presentation of a cyberpunk world is harder to do. We (mostly kinda) all have in mind cyberpunk night /dark landscapes: rain, fog, forever low light dusk, neon, Blade Runner and balconies, GITS boat rides etc.

If they manage to impress during daytime, I reckon the night atmosphere would blow away any cyberpunk fan's mind.

Yes, exactly. Smile impressing with darkness, shadows and neon lights is a lot easier than showing everything in the open. So yeah, very happy with what is shown so far.

First person would be preferable Smile Way more immersive.

Edit: he never says its first person though. he talks about hanging from walls, i have a hard time thinking that is first person.

"Cyberpunk 2077 is a seamless open world FPS RPG. The city looks crazy with impressive crowds and a clean 80’s inspired Cyberpunk vibe."

Let's hope there is a choice for 3rd person as well....would be a shame...

I guess they haven't signed a NDA so they are sharing(?). That's good for us...throw some gameplay vids our way please!!!

Cyberpunk 2077 is like Rockstar levels of open-world craziness. Beautiful, detailed, choice everywhere. Gunplay is wicked. Can run on walls, plant into them with blades, drop onto foes, slice their heads off. Slow time, use mods to control bots. Wow. Wow. Wow.

It is so much harder to create good combat in first person. You can't do a copout with a simple 3rd person action combat system, like in The Witcher games. Nope, first person is the real deal, I hope they succeed.

it also depends on melee or mainly gunplay.. i expect a lot of guns here, and probably quite simplistic melee. If there's more advanced melee then i want it to be like in Elder Scrolls / FO - both FP and 3rd person.

If anything FP should be optional like in GTA V, makes no sense creating a character you only see in cutscenes.

In RPG's you usually see your character in the inventory screen, so there's really no need for third person at all to be able to see what gear you have or how you look.. But to see your character sometimes during cut scenes can be nice and would be enough imo.
