It's interesting that they have broken with their recent tradition of announcing a game within spitting distance of the release date. I guess they got tired of people asking if they were working on TES6. I had thought it would come out next year, but I guess maybe they are waiting for PS5/Xbone2.

Has he been involved with the last couple of Bethesda games at all?
Though it seems they've been using someone else for Fallout and the last Elder Scrolls game was Skyrim so I guess he could still be contracted for the main game.
This just looks like a small teaser too before they make a real trailer closer to the games launch (So three or four years?) although it might be part of the province the game is set in.
(High Rock? Eh could be several different provinces on Tamriel.)

Indeed, on stage it was hinted at the fact that the new TES will actually follow Starfield (which theoretically is already going to be a 'next-gen' project), so the wait will definitely be a quite long one. We'll be the Elders scrolling by then, hopefully without negative Bethsurprises giving us heart attacks.  |
