World was such a disappointment for me, I was hoping to find some old dinocharm in a stylish modern sauce and instead the movie ended up being just yet another hollow oomphy popcorn summer carousel with characters taking the adjective brainless way too literally.
(Even the special effects felt more artificial than the legendary ones from 1993, but then again those were the groundbreaking work of brilliant minds, including the makeup god Stan Winston).
Expectations are very low this time around, a man can hope that the new director and the return of the Goldblumsaurus Rex can improve things a bit..but it's not easy.
I wonder how much they've shown of the plot.. cause it feels like everything but the ending. Not saying I'm not going tho, definitely going to cinema. But I do hope there's at least some surprise in there still. The mosasaurus being in open waters has me excited the most, even if the wave scene has a B-movie feel to it.
It's a genetic experiment from the Hollyblockbuster factory®, where groups of Baydwarves work hard at the assembly line in order to create perfect clones of oomphy popcorn-y-ness
Also, I find it funny (and sad) that the CGI in the first Jurassic Park is by far the best out of the entire franchise. The film is nearly 30 years old and still looks absolutely mindblowing even today.. whereas the sequels all LOOK like CGI.
