The last episode was so shitty...Absolutely pointless waste of time.
Tbh this season is kinda meh compared to the great first season. What a shame.

Agreed, it feels like they had no idea where to take it. The segments with the shadow king are kinda cool, but that's pretty much it.

This season is just digging itself into a hole of style without substance. A serious lack of actual content, replaced with stylish surrealism. Episode 6 was extremely pointless. Episode 5,7,8 are all slooooow and boring.

The first half of this season was decent, the second half has turned to complete shit. What the fuck happened, this is approaching True Detective levels of quality drop-off.
At least Farouk's actor and Aubrey Plaza are still entertaining, otherwise the last few eps would've been absolutely unbearable to watch.

Of course not. It was never supposed to be season 2. All the creativity the guy had went into season 1 and then they rushed season 2. I think he had an overarching story arch for a few seasons but all the TLC went into season 1. Just like his other shows. But it's also networks fault for announcing latter seasons later on so the creator has a limited amount of time to fine tune things.
Also doesn't help that the major criticism of the first season that it was hard to follow even though the pay offs were great. It only drew in fans of the style and the basic story. Others went in confused and gave up by ep 6. So they made it all straight forward this season and it clearly didnt work lol.

Looks like the folks who got into season 1 for the hype and enjoyed season 2 for its simplicity gave it a renewal.

I'm getting somewhat annoyed with the Burroughsesque unreality going on. A lot of it doesn't make sense (that in itself isn't particularly annoying). The problem I have with it is that it feels a lot like people using the show as a playground to try out their "amazing" quasi-psychedelic ideas and weak symbolism. There's simply too much of it in most episodes, dragging the hallucinatory style way too far for my taste.

Yes, agreed. That was particular annoying at the beginning of this season. Guess I just accepted the situation by now...
At least it feels like this season is getting better with later episodes.
Seems like the creators of the show observed what viewers liked in the first season and overdid it in the second.

The start of the season finale was fantastic..the song, the "battle" ..
The season finale was good.
The season was bad.

I liked it especially the fight, David is obviously not the Villain they desperately try to portray him as (as it is Syd and the others are almost trying to force him into this role which is weird enough) and Farouk is pulling all the strings again especially with Syd, so the 3rd season could get really interesting i see season 2 more like a big build-up for it.

Watched the last episode.
It was good as the previous episode. The Who song battle was great but overall this season was crap, so much time wasters. The concept was somehow good to get every episode to be directed by different person in their style but it failed in execution. Sadly.
