I-76 doesn't eve goes through WV. Now, portions of I-77 as a setting would be awesome. The Interstate winds around mountains in the southern portion but having the game set around the Charleston area would be awesome.
Got to hand it to you guys that still get into this IP, I moved on once they gave us completely different games from classic fallout. I have a feeling wasteland 3 is going to be a proper masterpiece this time around, by that time fallout will be merely card games, moba or clone of whatever title is flavour of the month.
I've enjoyed playing Wasteland 2 can't wait for Wasteland 3! And speaking about Fallout I've yet to finish Fallout 4 as I abruptly stopped playing it cuz I was getting bored of it.. Seeing as this is probably a online base camp building game and Battle Royal? I have zero interest in it probably.
When Bethesda announced Fallout 76 with a teaser trailer this morning, promising more information at E3, it was easy to assume that the new game would be a traditional single-player role-playing game. But Fallout 76 is in fact an online survival RPG that’s heavily inspired by games like DayZ and Rust, according to three people familiar with the project.
Those people, speaking anonymously so as not to damage their careers, confirmed that Fallout 76 is an experimental new entry in the longrunning post-apocalyptic series. When Bethesda first teased the game on Tuesday morning, fans and pundits speculated that it might be a Fallout 3 remaster or a New Vegas-style spinoff in a new location, but as Kotaku reported that afternoon, it is in fact something completely new and completely different. The teaser might lead Fallout fans to believe that this is a traditional entry in the series, but according to our sources, that’s not the case.
Originally prototyped as a multiplayer version of Fallout 4 with the goal of envisioning what an online Fallout game might look like, Fallout 76 has evolved quite a bit over the past few years, those sources said. It will have quests and a story, like any other game from Bethesda Game Studios, a developer known for meaty RPGs like Skyrim. It will also feature base-building—just like 2015's Fallout 4—and other survival-based and multiplayer mechanics, according to those sources. One source cautioned that the gameplay is rapidly changing, like it does in many online “service” games, but that’s the core outline.
This is great. There's potentially even more schadenfreude to be had from a lame battle royale cash-in than another mobile game. Although no doubt the average noveau-Fallout fan will enjoy it unironically.
Jeez, talk about being late to the party. They aren't even chasing the latest gaming fad (BR), they chose to go after the previous "next big thing", survival.
just wow the part about cutting of mods .... that will surely be good PR for them
Even if that post is a fake, that part is not wrong. It's inevitable that they will try and kill off mods they don't have direct control over and can monetise.
90's terrible adult anime with an even worse translation..
Spoiler:
(Though still tame compared to what modded Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, New Vegas and Skyrim and Fallout 4 in particular turned into. ~ )
Security concerns huh, well it'll be interesting to see how much of that info in general that holds true or what Bethesda will provide info about next.
EDIT: Though with paid mods I suppose it's kinda thematically correct in a way. Paid *premium* mods especially.

According to sources speaking anonymously to Kotaku, Fallout 76 reportedly will be an online survival RPG, along the lines of DayZ or Rust. According to Kotaku, Fallout 76 will still have quests and a story, as well as base building and "survival-based and multiplayer mechanics." The gameplay is "rapidly changing," though, according to Kotaku.
"according to"...
Yeah, I'll wait until E3 before I put my money on anything.

BETHESDA GAME STUDIOS MAKING "BLEEDING-EDGE AAA FREEMIUM GAME"
But what will it be?
BY JOE SKREBELS
Bethesda Game Studios - the developer behind The Elder Scrolls and Fallout series - is making what it describes as a "bleeding-edge AAA freemium game".
A job listing (spotted by NeoGAF user Nirolak) for a game performance manager at the company's Montreal studio reveals little more than that phrase, but confirms that the unannounced game will be taking on a free-to-play business model.
So, they can't make a new elder scrolls because they need to be careful and think of a proper story, yet they can seemingly keep shitting out new fallout games with no issues.
How is The Elder Scrolls Online anyway these days?
Still going strong. Recently new expansion was released and the game continues to improve. Don't really understand the hate towards it just because it's an MMO and not SKYRIM 2.
___
Plus, I really don't see them announcing another TES game. TES: Online is going great and very populated. The game has also received a good amount of expansions with Summerset being the latest.
I know they are not developed by same people but announcing new TES will simply kill TES: Online and that wouldn't be a good decision from a business point and also upset the online community, given how good and active it is.
As for another Fallout game being released, well, New Vegas was released 2 years after Fallout 3. Sure it was from a different studio but was still published by Bethesda. Instead of a 3rd party, they decided to make another spin-off by themselves.
