Most of it sounds fairly promising - but I don't like the 'skills' thing - not sure I want Power Boost, sounds like I'm activating Banana Dragonforce POWER!! Let's hope it isn't accompanied by dodgy fire and flame effects on your player or the ball otherwise I'll be very sad.

Release dates
First off, the release date for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One largely remains the same: 22 May for digital and retail.
However, in some countries there might be a slight delay, so it’s best to check our website (https://tennisworldtourgame.com/), which we update constantly, and/or talk to your trusted retailer of choice.
(For example, in Germany, Austria and Switzerland the retail release date is 29 May).
The release date for the PC and Nintendo Switch version has moved to the 12 June on digital and the retail release is also planned for the 12 June, but again dates can vary, so be sure to check the website and/or talk to your retailer.
(Example: The retail release date in Germany, Austria and Switzerland is 15 June).
doenst matter, if the tools which will be released with the cfw are mighty enough (and i think they are) everything is possible unless sony really implements new features with newer fws which are mandatory for newer games
Sorry to go off topic and we should take this to the console section but you are wrong if you think you'll be able to play 5.50 games on 5.05 (at least, not until a white knight with a 5.50 exploit would decrypt these games for you).
And chances for this game to be 5.05 are close to zero, unless they pressed discs months ago (unlikely but not impossible).
You'll play the PC version well before you pirate the PS4 one
BTW, the day 1 patch for Tennis World Tour is already 5.53.
That being said, some people are already putting out gameplay videos of it with the 1.01 patch on YouTube and it looks terrible. Sadly, Top Spin 4 which is really old looks miles better.
This game doesn't even allow you to slide on clay... I mean come on... Even Top Spin 1 allows this...
I don't have it on console, but just so we know if it's 5.05 or not, and have a bluray drive on your PC, can you open app.pkg on it in PS4PKGViewer ? It will say which version it is for.
Thanks.
PS : anyway even with 1.01 this game is broken to death.. Hopefully there'll be a "day2 patch"
From the video(s) the low budget-y nature of the game indeed shows, and not in a good way sadly. I like the inertia effect that gives it a less automatized feeling, but something does look off when it comes to the actual contact with the ball, it's unnatural.
The lack of proper lighting and the textures from the mid-2000s don't help either *shakes fist*. It might still be entertaining to play, though keeping low expectations is very recommended (as per usual).
I wouldn't blame the devs, but the upper management that wants to save money while making the maximum profit, forgetting about quality. Those peeps are so disconnected that they fail to see how the market started to respond to this state of things.
Just get yourself a PS360 and play TS4, you ll be blown away.
Or just check once in a while the Emulation Thread till JackQ announces you the game is fully playable on PS360 emulators (aka 30 fps, like on consoles)
yeah i tried top spin 4 on rpcs3 but it crashes on main menu after intro it seems to work but can't work it out
also i looked on the ps3 store if i could buy top spin 4 but i can't find it or a shop digital that send you the cd key for this game
what a shit game
and online mode is not even possible !!! and that for the day of the release what a big fail
and i paid the full price 65 € fuck my life
And according to Bigben’s Alain Falc, the game was only 20% complete a few weeks before its official release. Falc told newspaper Le Monde that the game’s launch was chaotic and the publisher could not delay it due to marketing reasons (and in order to have a Tennis game available during the French Open tournament).
Falc also stated that a refined version will be coming in 2019, and a brand new Tennis World Tour game will come out in 2020-2021. Not only that, but the unfinished version of Tennis World Tour we currently have will still be a financial success. Falc said that Bigben has already shipped 500K copies to distributors and some of them have no right to return them.

Wow that is cheeky that!
So they think selling a game that is 20% complete is going to be a success?
Like who is going to buy the next years version?
That's a disgusting practice alright (not uncommon these days sadly). They willingly shipped the game in a ridiculously abysmal pre-alpha state (at full price of course) but they don't care because since many distributors don't offer refunds, the whole thing is still profitable to them. And obviously a 'proper' game financed by the money generated by this scammy move will release in a couple of years, because fuck the customers.
From the videos and actual feedback this doesn't even deserve to be pirated to be honest, not yet at least. And when the only "modern" alternatives on PC are the arcadey robotic Elbow Tennis and the recent (bad) AO Tennis, the situation isn't optimal
Great, so they knowingly fuck customers over because they couldn't plan things ahead properly, and they don't give a damn anyway because their money is already made due to a monopoly in a niche genre.
Amazing strategy, great work guys

Seriously... that's gotta wake up the lawmakers for countries. I mean, theoretically you could just send a blank DVD stating 'thanks for buying - the game will come soon!'.
I guess Star Citizen showed other 'developers' that money is to be made from fucking people around professionally.
