Finished the campaign.
Thought it was pretty good!
Joseph Seed is a great character!
Got plenty of side quests to be going on with still though!

It’s a repetitive game but what Ubisoft game isn’t?
Still had fun Smile

Dat ending ... never saw that coming.

And that's why I've not enjoyed a Far Cry since Far Car 2 Smile

They need to do another Crysis!

Because it’s a Ubisoft game doesn’t mean we have to accept the fact it’s repetitive...

Ubisoft announced the first post-launch content for Far Cry 5, titled Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness. The DLC, which launches on June 5 for all platforms, will transport players back in time, allowing them to play as Hope County’s Wendell “Red” Redler, who must find and rescue his fellow squad members from hostile forces during the Vietnam War.

Crytek did Crysis and they did Far Cry 1 only. Also Ubisoft didn't publish Crysis, EA did.

Ubisoft Montreal has done all the other Far Cry's, including your favorite 2.

Talking about the main game here, I find it incredibly boring. Loved 3 and 4.

I loved 3, liked 4 but just wasn't sure about this so held off buying. will definitely end up getting it sometime, but half the launch price sounds about right for this imo.

Played first 4 hours and done first intro island. It's nice and i enjoy it so far.
Hated that the first island was so foggy but thank god that's over.
Big problem i see is that if you fill the resistance bar by doing side missions/outposts/saving civilians you are going to miss some story missions since when the bar is full there's a forced boss fight,
That's the most idiotic thing ever done in open world game, ,means i must do story mission and ignore side mission and that's so dumb.

And funnily enough, here we are six months later - the game has had the usual bunch of patches to improve it and it's now available at half the launch price. So I'll more than likely give it a go sometime soon. Still haven't got AC Odyssey for much the same reasons...hard to lose by doing the six month wait thing unless you're somehow desperate for the game on launch day (ie Headshot Laughing )

Perhaps you're not in the US, but it's currently $15 at Gamestop.

And done.. had a good time, got an email saying i played 52 hours.. but it felt like i played more.
About midway i got a bit bored, when you get most perks and weapons you want then i started to less enjoy the game for several hours, but it still was good.
There also one of the dumbest mechanics i played in open-world game.. the resistance bar that made me alter me exploration so i wouldn't miss story missions, and the forced boss encounters that happens about 10 times is bullshit and annoying.
As for the story/characters/setting.. i really liked it!
And the ending Very Happy

Far Cry 5 ending spoilers:

Then i was interested to see how's the plot continue but New Dawn looked bad so i just watched all cutscenes on YT.. and..
