There's a menu option for that, centered crosshair or offset. You can pick whatever.

Well I have mixed feelings after 2h into the game.
There is basically little to no innovation compared to previous titles, as anyone could expect.
The gunplay is not satisfying - enemy AI runs right into you without even spotting where you are, so that you can stealth execute them without requiring an effort to approach them.
The story makes no fucking sense whatsover. A religious sect right in the middle of the US and noone can fucking do anything about it? Come on, even the narcos in Widlands were more believable than that...
I strongly suggest to wait for a 50% sale in 3 month, as the game is nothing new and will quickly get boring and repetitve.
At least Ubi did a good job with the AC franchise with the refreshing Origins title. Unfortunately the FC franchise has remained the same old crap everyone already experienced with FC3.

It's a shame that the good ol' Ziggy doesn't seem to be tinkering with Far Cry anymore, he'd be able to remove some of the Ubisillines from this "new" version and improve at least some of its junky bits. I remember that his mod for FC3 was an absolute must, it added proper challenge, removed most of the visual derp and rebalanced the entire thing, I would have never been able to enjoy the game without it back then.
I eventually finished FC4 too, but between the fatigue of doing the exact same thing over and over and the so-so vanilla experience I can't really say that I had a good time with it (the previous happy Blood Dragon romp on the other hand worked well for me thanks to the smaller scope and full-arcade-no-fucks-given mode). Then there was the flabby Primal starring one-button-tamer Tarzanator, such an odd beast. The Survival mode made it more bearable, but when there's chronical lack of challenge, the melee system is so simplistic and Ubiworld standing there with its formulaic fluff there isn't much left.
Will play this one too one day (if only for the sandbox-y chaos and religious nutjobs  ), though judging from the video(s) it's evident that the signature stale Ubirecycling, bad AI and art of filling the map with hundreds of colorful tasks and copy-pasta activities like a derp Baroque painting are there in all their glory.
This series needs a massive overhaul so badly, but since the new entry will likely sell like hotcakes I doubt it will ever happen. Not that a potential overhaul would be able to do miracles anyway (we'd have to remove Ubisoft entirely in order to achieve that ), but still.

Looking at the amount of people just here, that even seemed to preorder the game or are planning to buy it, well yep.
No reason for Ubilol to change anything, as long as enough Lemmings are buying their lazy-job games.

I think the main problem here is that after 3 we had FC4 and primal which were almost the same.
If this came out after the 3rd, it would feel really fresh, but this way its like an analog clock where you stare at the minute pointer but it just wont move, or maybe it did?
