Good game men.

Flawed much? yes... but that doesn't make it bad. Some of my favorite games like the PB games are deeply flawed.

Joke of a save system. enough said. even with the save mod i would lose 30 minutes of progress. come on.

Somewhat shitty combat (enemies parrying every hit unless you are strong enough at the end to damage them through their blocks, leading you to just wait and counter or just snipe from afar)

Terrible performance? Check... 30 fps difference between borderless and fullscreen Laughing and the game constantly switches back to borderless.. get used to alt + enter

Bad side quests? definitely, i stopped doing them after a while. way too much running around. also a bit too much "investigator geralt" quests. I dont even need to go into the fact that you can break your game in a million ways if you do something out of order. thats pretty unforgiveable and i'd be pissed off if that happened to me.

Not a full game for your $60? yeah... that does suck (i got it for $40) i didnt follow the kickstarter so i didn't realize this was a multi-parter.

All in all this would have been a better game had they not tried to do so much. Less filler quests, more quality. Maybe they didn't need to have so many cities in the game?
Story-wise it was pretty cliche but i enjoyed it. That dream Henry had at the end was poignant and very well done. Made me think of what i'd do if i lost my parents. Again quite cliche but it was executed well for my taste.

I have to disagree. It actually makes it bad. How bad it is depends on the state of the game. The game is right now unplayable for most of us. It doesn't contain that stupid kind of "fun" bugs. Most of the bugs in the game prevent us to proceed, which is total cockblock for having fun while playing.

Now, if they fix it in next updates, we can evaluate things again. However in this current state it's just above being a poor piss game.

The patch size is 5.7GB. We are already working on 1.4 that will hopefully improve performance on PC among other things.

@Mas3ter
I'm getting somewhat stable 60fps outside big cities.
There are still micro fps-drops when turning around. Like it keeps loading stuff. I have it installe on a SSD even.
Inside bigger cities like Rattay it still goes down to like 40 fps.

And i already toned down some settings from Ultra to Very High.
Still, for playing on 1080p only and having a GTX 1080 that is not acceptable to me. (the irony though.. Laughing)

I did last night and takes A LOT of time, like 40-60 hours. It almost feels like 2 full games in one. Kinda got a little tired of it near the end as it dragged on, but overall an amazing game. The ending is horrible though.

Before the 1.3 patch I completed the Nightingales quest in some weird way. You need a horse for it!

1. Save the game BEFORE dropping any cage! You can kill the Cumans in the forest camp and save not to waste time with them again if something went wrong.
2. Walk around listening for the bird's song and when you find it call the mount.
3. Drop the bird cage exactly under the horse. (Sometimes it places the cage on some other stupid place, if that happens better load the game but you can try if it will still work, if it doesn't you can start over from the saved game, but never save after dropping a cage!)
4. Leave the cage there with the horse on top of it and search for the next bird song.
5. When you find it just mark the spot on the map (DON'T CALL THE HORSE!).
6. Go back to the horse and the cage under his shoes and a Nightingale will be catched inside. (NOTE : I think picking it up before other cages are full would still break the quest so remember the spot and leave the cage.)
7. After a bird is in a cage, it's save to call your horse for the next cage. Do the same thing for the second and third cages with placing the cages exactly under your horse. And DON'T call the mount before a bird gets inside!
8. Wait some time, shoot some rabbits or read a book for the last cage. Doesn't matter as long as your horse is on top of the cage and you know where to pick the other cages.

Dropping the cages under the horse was the only way I finished that quest. Every other time I put a cage without the horse on it either doesn't catch the bird or the cage mysteriously disappeared. Laughing

Funny, that quest never gave me any issues, and I did it how the quest log told me (follow the sounds, drop the cage, wait a bit, repeat 3 times).

However, I got an endless loading bug in the main quest, when trying to get to the trebuchet-builder in the monastery. I guess I was wanted for murder after doing the infiltration mission, so I just killed everyone, got all the door keys, and then served my 10 days of jail. That fixed it Smile

Other quests that were fucked: clearing Hanekin's name (we were supposed to go together to the castle in the morning, never saw him again Laughing ). Also the plague mission, I was supposed to go back after 3 days, but the situation never 'cleared up', and it eventually failed/timed out.

Not a lot of quest related bugs encountered, all in all. But the game wears you out quickly, I think. Once you become a demi god (depending on how you play, that can come very quickly), it becomes a chore doing the quests. I avoided combat almost until the 'boss fight', so that fight was a challenge, but soon after you get 15+ strength anyway and nothing can stand in your way.

There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

There is a known bug with this quest that when you're working on it, if you save the game and reload that save game, it jacks that quest up. The third empty cage disappears and you're stuck with 2 cages with birds in your inventory forever Very Happy

Still stutters a lot in rattay though yeah i could lower my settings even further but that's just stupid and it's almost impossible to fully get rid of the stuttering even if the rest of the game runs with 100+ fps...

I dreaded doing this after everything I read about it, but I liked it Smile One of the best quests in the game, really.
The wait option makes it bearable (although it can screw up some NPCs scheduling, with monks going to bed at 2 in the morning).
Once you find the lockpick (in the church) or the monastery's keys (behind kitchen) it all opens up
