Hi Guys/Girls. I am about to swap out my MSI B250 Gaming M3 mobo for an Asus Strix B250H Gaming mobo. All my hardware and plugins are still the same just a different mobo. My question is I have 5 hard drives. 1 SSD for the OS and programs. 4 Hard drives that are just games. Will the mobo recognize my hard drives with the same lettering and name conventions. I would prefer not to have to send all the game exes back to the game folders again I have well over 150 games across 4 hard drives.

As I write the question down I would assume it would be fine as the OS hasn't changed on the SSD

Thank you! The MSI B250 (shit board) and it's replacement Asus B250H (shit board) was really cheap and I am going to use the MSI in another sellable PC build.

Fixing the letters shouldn't be a big issue, but by switching your mobo you might trigger some license re-checking on windows (if I remember right). Also I'd rather re-install everything.. fucking driver mess Sad

Use a permanent marker to write down the letters and names on the drives. So that way they'll never change.
