Should be up now. Smile

EDIT: For the client itself it takes between 5 to 10 minutes for it to fetch changes or just restart it manually.

EDIT: 20 GB.

Well the first area isn't all that much in terms of content is it? Plus there's no side activities in the demo from my understanding so it's strictly story missions and exploring a large (And pretty empty.) part of the overall map.

Testing the gameplay mechanics and performance, I'm skipping the demo myself as well since for one thing I didn't expect to be able to resume from it in the full game as that's rarely done for demos (Even less so these days.) and the game itself is still getting actively updated until next year sometime, plenty of time to work on the existing backlog and free up those 100 - 150 GB of data needed. Razz

DLC episodes and eventual re-release of the full complete God King Emperor or whatever edition isn't all that big of a deal since the episodes are separate to the game itself - and also spoil story events in it. - but the bug fixes and also that they're still adding new features and content to the base game is something I want to wait on for at least one or two major patches further from what I've been hearing and reading up on so far.
(Though the game is already in a better shape than the initial launch version from last year.)

Try the Steam settings and gamepad options therein and the overrides it offers. Smile

Should be some outside of big pic view but that mode gives the most settings for complete override and control if required.
(Steam controller primarily but also XBox XInput and PS4 DirectInput wrapped to XInput.)
(And others though mainly Steam, XBox360/XBO and DS3/DS4 support.)

Amirite, many RPGs I restart after the first chapter anyway cause I don't like the class I went with, the face, or choices I made.

Yeah well you will not have these problems with this game, there are no classes to choose, you only get one predefined derpy character to play and there are no choices whatsoever.

No protection in the Demo ffxv_s.exe again (the benchmark allrdy included a unprotected FFXV.exe as well) i think after the eula and now this it's pretty clear this will not use Denuvo or any other DRM, at least the demo exe could theoretically be modified to work on the full game or at least analyzed to get a good idea where to look for triggers.

Pisses me right off that the Controller isnt working like it should. Other people have the same issue.

Guess ill skip this game, since im not willing to play it with KBM.

//EDIT
Now it works somehow. I just checked all the Controller boxes in steam and it works. Dunno why.

Here are some Screens @ 1440p with max settings (no nvidia stuff).

Looks good to me, fps are mostly 70-80 with occasional dips to 60.

 Spoiler:

Runs and looks way better than the crappy benchmark a few weeks ago.

Also the Combat is okay, expected worse. If the same applies to FF7 Remake im fine with it (and from the looks of it, it will be).

Nvidia effects seem to be pretty demanding as always, i can max everything else on a 970 but as soon as i enable them my fps tank to the 40s.

Which is interesting decision...

Square known to use Denuvo a lot, and for all it's game they suddenly deciding to stop using it, and for their primary series?

It would be bad publicity again if it inferred with anything especially mods, they know fully well it's useless anyway and release plenty of games even recent ones without it.

Btw the ingame TAA can be enhanced nicely with Lumasharpen to get rid of the excess blur here is a preset for RE7 https://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/6791/ which works pretty well here as well reduce sharp_strength a bit i you think it's too sharp i usually have it around 2 with TAA myself.

Looks much better than the pro version. 4k HDR all high 30-50fps. Ideal would be 4k60 high or 4k30 highest with all nv features. Cant have either with this shitty 1070. Fml

Anyway waiting for rls, almost finished it back then on the pro, will finish now instead on the ‘definitive edition’

Runs nice for me almost max -nvidya shit at 1080p (3570k rx580). Presentation and graphics are great sans some pop in. Pretty impressed. Ingame cutscenes ran at odd fps sometimes tho but still looked smooth Confused

As for the game tho the combat system seems pretty thin and the story/characters don't really interest me that much. If I ever get through my backlog I will give it a proper go one day.
