Btw don't expect performance improvements on PC any time soon they are mostly working on improving the games performance on consoles atm. Lead programmer posted this under the digital foundry article:

Quote:
I'm the lead programmer at Warhorse and I'm also responsible for graphics programming. Thanks for the detailed analysis. The 31fps lock is strange, I agree. I have to solve it asap. I did of course noticed it once I enabled CryE built-in vsync and 30 fps lock, but there were many other more severe issues. I will see if Dambuster Studios could help us with that one. Regarding other performance issues, there is a couple of improvements on the way that should smooth out or increase FPS on slower CPU machines. Mainly on consoles. Please be patient.

Only thing I really need is a performance patch and improved save system (= F5 instead of escape to menu each time).

Yep, i had no issues there on those quests, besides the saviour schnapps cost around 90 groshen (or whatever the name), and as im getting quite good with the bow, even without that reticule mod, so, you just bag a deer, go to any inn, grill the meat and boom get 1000 k more or less from the inkeeper and even leave a tip Very Happy.. so money aint that problem.. Everyone loves my henry (except the poor questing knight near the glade inn, Laughing) oh, and to aim the bow just use the gfx of your left gauntlet as a guide for were the arrow will go. Its not that difficult. Now im afraid to install the patch and get bugs im not having..Rolling Eyes
Damn consoles and kid controller users are taking the time of Warhorse Devs to make a real performance wise patch.. not that im complaining playing in very high on all settings having 30-40 fps.. on those settings the game is simply gorgeous. Best game evah! Very Happy

Well yeah to be fair it must be a real horror to optimize a game like this for the weak ass Jaguar CPUs consoles use.

Yep, and its allready heavilly downgraded on console, if you go to youtube and see one of the various PC vs consoles comparison, in one vid we see clearly that they even had to take away the reflective puddles of rain (beautifull they are.. and those forests in various times of the day.. Drooling)

And why the fuck is there no gear crafting ingame? Since you play as a blacksmiths boy, this would have been perfect. Rolling Eyes

No you are not the only one, I agree completely.

I have to admit I am torn about this game, I love the setting (no magic), but the litle bugs are annoying.

Normally you'd expect a blacksmith would only be making nails, horse shoes, simple tools. It's clear Henry's father has some mysterious past (I'm guessing this isn't revealed in the current game, what with the cliffhanger/unfinished ending? I'd put my money on weaponsmith to the king or something) that also makes him a master swordsmith. Even then, that doesn't mean Henry would know anything about making armour. Not to mention it would require weeks or even months of dedicated work in a forge. Not something the player would be realisticly able to manage, especially when most of you are running around mugging peasants 16 hours a day.

Go down the alley to the left of the building and around the back there's a small staircase with a locked door. Pick that (or use Hans' keys if you took those) and then go down the stairs to the bottom to the cellar and another locked door. You'll probably be stopped by a guard asking you what the hell you are doing at that point, so prepare for a speech check (if you have one, you can quaff a Bard potion to help). Assuming you pass that and are left to your own devices, there's a pitcher sitting on a barrel in the middle of the room, and the wine is in a barrel in the rack at the far end.

Easier? :/

It's actually very easy once you level up a bit. You can train your skills up with the combat trainer very easily.

Edit

Oh... I misread the quote

I thought it said combat should get easier

Another update is out and the game is now back to version 1.2.2 probably due to the quest fix actually ending up breaking said quest instead.

For anyone that installed the Codex 1.2.5 patch and presumably can't easily roll back, this may be of use:

https://www.reddit.com/r/kingdomcome/comments/7z3m8e/pc_ginger_in_a_pickle_125_bug_fix/

I'm not sure why Warhorse didn't just hotfix that file themselves instead of rolling back the entire patch.

Some actual performance tweaks: https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/121 he even fixed most of the lightning bugs from what i saw and you can switch presets with a hotkey.
Also looks a bit better then what i had bevore, on the med preset i mostly stay above 60 on a 970 now, high works pretty nice as well if you remove the line with e_svoti_LowSpecMode=1.
