Should they keep repeating the same formula? We have the call of duties and assassins creeds for that. Maybe this is what they always wanted to do and they have the processing power to do it now.

It's the first game i ever pre-orderd (a few months ago when there was a buy $100 get $15 back on PSN).
Can't fucking wait to see what happened to Kratos.
I have a few concerns about not having a jump button, which means no more platforming, i very much hope there's still puzzles and other activities then combat.
Also not 100% sure about the combat also as it seems less enemies at once like previous games.
Really hope it's going to turn out good. Can't wait!

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Those graphics are fucking insane, everything looks so good, especially the post process effects. Its pretty incredible what you can get out of the hardware what PS4 has (makes me always wonder that, what if these devs would unleash graphics from High end PC, how good it would look). Meanwhile at PC we are going back to 90s with low polygon "old school" shooters or 8-bit style adventure games. I dont mind the changes, looks great so far, pls release it already!1

So true....PS4 is proving everyone, especially the PC 'master race', wrong. With 5+ year old tech, and not even cutting edge back then, it's pretty incredible what's coming out. And not just graphically, the sheer number of quality games. I never remember having such a backlog of shit hot stuff that I simply won't have time to get through.

You can actually get more than half back on new titles. When I buy a PC game I complete it but never play it again, the upside for the PS4 side of things is that I can claw some money back.
I don't have a ton of money so I'll never be able to afford a crazy PC rig. My current one has a GTX1060 so the most I can hope for there are mid-high settings at 1080p.
The TV isn't just for gaming though, I watch more movies and tv shows these days so I'm mostly looking to the 4K/HDR content on those mediums.
God of War difficulty options were revealed. There are four separate difficulty levels:
Give Me A Story
Give Me A Balanced Experience
Give Me A Challenge
Give Me God of War
“Give Me God of War” difficulty is actually a completely different experience. It fundamentally changes the game, down to enemies and attack patterns. “We did a ton of stuff to make it a genuine challenge, not a cynical increase. Enemies are all changed up. We changed the attack patterns of things; it’s hugely different.”

I upgraded my PS4 to a Pro and got myself a 4K TV last summer - it was time to replace the 7 year old set and, like you, I enjoy a lot of the 4K content on it, which this year is really picking up traction on the torrents
Put it this way, you will be very very impressed - especially with Horizon. The HDR is at least as important as the higher resolution.
It does indeed suck about the lack of 'backup tech' this gen but then again I don't even buy many brand new PS4 games, my backlog means I can pick them up a few months later - prices fall much faster now than they used to, and then there's trade in where you can offload some as well.
Have never regretted either my original PS4 purchase, or the Pro upgrade. Will definitely keep me going until PS5 hits, and I honestly don't mind if that's 2 or even 3 years away
