@BearishSun: don't tell me you borrowed money to invest?
If so, sell it all asap!
Yep, 1:10, rate. Meaning for 2000$ worth of stocks, 1800$ is borrowed, 200$ is actual my money
Makes it real fast to earn money but need to be careful with situations like these.
EDIT: With indices the rates go 1:400. So if someone had the balls to short-sell on the Dow-Jones on Friday, with only 200$ he could have made 12000$ by now :/ (Or lost it just as easily ofc )
soo DJ still doing down?
things are about to get interesting
Pre-market rarely reflects the trend of the day. I don't think there are any bad news regarding the stocks today, so maybe, just maybe we don't see another huge drop
There's no real bad news (in fact, all economic news is positive), just the fear that interest rates will go up later this year.
But the stock market is obviously way overvalued, not to say bubble. Especially in the US markets, that has many tech companies worth 'billions' without making any profit, a correction like this is long overdue.
Both Friday and yesterday's drops were caused by treasury bond yield increases (https://www.tradingview.com/chart/lgdoyf4n/), along with low unemployment report on Friday. If the yields go for new highs today it's likely going to be another drop.
If not...well then it's going to be purely technical and fear-driven trading today. No big news on Monday either, yet the biggest drop in 6 years... (But that was probably exacerbated by a lot of profit taking from the very positive last month/year).
Russian security officers have arrested several scientists working at a top-secret Russian nuclear warhead facility for allegedly mining crypto-currencies.
The suspects had tried to use one of Russia's most powerful supercomputers to mine Bitcoins, media reports say.

It doesn't break support. But if it breaks it, even the most rational positive outlook should be seen as irrelevant.
Under 3k before Christmas, it's a dud in it's current form. And the rest of crypto will follow.
Short if you can =)

From someone who heard about bitcoin years ago i mean like 2010, to see what everyone is talking about what it is now.
The thing i do not get about bitcoin is this.
So i invest say 50 uk pounds into bitcoin, by me spending that little amount in real life and i get interest so quickly from investing 50 uk pounds into bitcoin that i don't actually have to do anything to earn free money just invest real money now and when the money goes up i get richer from just this investment?
To be getting thousands a few weeks later for my 50 pound investment?
Does it take time to build up?
I have read on an article that it was shown how much profit you can make investing to bitcoins, letting it settle then withdrawing the bitcoins into real cash and then me going to buy a new car for doing absolutely doing nothing physically other then invest 50 uk pounds?
How much does my initial investment have to be from a poor person you could say investing into bitcoin for the first time?

What i do not get is if i place say some uk pounds down to exchange into bitcoins, how long does it take for me to start making a profit?
I would not be one of them people who just throw money at it.
I basically do not get how can i get rich for doing nothing but make bets on this?
Like to start out few weeks =2k, from a 40 pound punt?

Well, at the moment bitcoin isn't particularly stable but in essence you're trying to gamble on that the value of a bitcoin will increase after you've invested in it, not too different from dealing in normal currencies except that Bitcoin grew exponentially and then nearly flat lined. You're too late to the party.
So if say i put 10 uk pounds into bitcoin, joined a group (can't remember what they call them), make a backup which is very important.
Then what?
Watch the money i put double day after day?
I never follow stocks or things like that but i've been reading this is different.

I mean, if you dont understand what you are doing, shouldnt you just dont spend any money on it?
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
