In theory, I like it too. But considering the bugs... I don't know, I'll have to try it to decide if it gets frustrating or not. |
If there are bugs that kicks you out of the game it's of course extremely annoying and could cost you perhaps an hour of game time. Not sure if its a bug anyone has encountered. |
I've seen it mentioned a couple of times in reviews, though the game is supposedly good enough to draw you back in after that happens. I guess we'll see soon enough.

I saw some tweet from Warhorse that the Steam version is already v1.1 (which was the console day 1 patch version). They are working on the 1.2 patch atm.

Ah, I guess they already pushed it before the game started preloading then. The tweet I saw was from a day or so ago.

So overall by reading through the reviews apart from the technical issues the game is pretty fine. People say great story, characters and progression ...

When it's Mass Effect Andromeda, it's the worst game ever.
When it's some Eurocheapo, "the game is ambitious, give it time. Besides, the bug is so funney so all is good".

Judging by early reviews and impressions, it's either great or very average. By what I saw, I am intrigued but it seems to be a "wait at least a year" game. I find it funny how they reacted to the huge day one patch. Apparently the game was finished but they decided to polish it further. How the hell does that lead to replacing almost all of the game files? Just be truthful and admit v1.0 had to be sent out to make the deadline ffs. Now if they counteract every bad review with "the game is awesome the reviewer played the unpatched version", I won't even buy the game. That's basically a review embargo, "here's the game mister journalist, but do wait for the day one patch!".

Huh? Is there a source for this claim? Afaik some engines are just really bad when it comes to patching and require huge size patches to fix even a small number of bugs.
1) Lenovo Legion 7 (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3080 16Gb, 32Gb DDR4, SSD 1TB +2TB
2) SFFPC (streaming via Moonlight+ Sunshine)

I really don't care as a consumer. It's unacceptable for me from either.

So the patching for this engine is so bad they had to basically replace the whole game when patching it? That'll be fun for later patches.
The source is their reaction to the 23gb patch btw.

That's exactly it, cryengine is just a piece of shit and doesn't support Steam's delta patching so updating one file in a huge archive means downloading the entire thing all over again.

1920x1080, ultra high preset.. 37-40 fps right in the house where you start the game.. Amazing optimization! And GPU is running super hot compared to other modern games
PS ~45-60 fps outside of the house.. considering how the game looks performance is pretty mediocre.
