I'm more and more convinced that it's not just a question of readers and media types. Like you need some specific controller cards, USB drives etc. |

Hey ,i dunno if someone mentioned it before, but i got little time left before i gotta go:)
The way i got this working was by mounting the image in daemon tools (newwest version)
Then I installed it, when it said i had to reboot i closed the app, coz' i thought it was not going to work for me. After a day or two, i read about deleting sf***files in the windows/system32 folder. Everytime i wanna play i delete these files and so far it works for me:)
GL ya all

cmon he's not the depositary of the truth... any kid knows how do u it.
just install alcohol latest build available. close as many programs as u can, don't stay connected.
open alcohol, insert cd/dvd in your drive, make image, dpm high precision, 1x dpm reading (even if 2 and 4 usually works fine).
wait till the process is over without doing anything, don't even touch your mouse.
end of the story

Call me lazy but is it really worth all that shit with unplugging drives, running various other bollocks just to play a game?
For the time you spend fucking around with all that to play the game a couple of times you'd be wasting so much time it'd be more efficient to just buy the damn thing.
Not like running a clone you can say you're doing it because you don't want Starforce on your machine.
Isn't like you're doing it for backup purposes either.
Weird people are happy to go to all this trouble but are too tight to buy games.
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com check there you should be able to find ways to save a few pence / euro cents on other things
21 part instruction to run one game once, including downloading various programs, powering PC down, unplugging cables, running a couple of different programs, etc. Then of course when you want to use the optical drives again you have to switch PC off and plug all back in again.
Get a life, it's neither fun nor interesting to do that crap it's just being too much of a penny pincher to want to pay for the finished product and thinking yourself too 1337 to play the demo (before the 'try before you buy' comes in.)
To the people who actually take the time to do these things cleverly, nice, to those who just follow someone elses huge instructions after leeching from their torrent tracker, dull dull dull!
