Aye was the same for me with Landmark (The 'test' Everquest Next). I really don't get how stomping around for half an hour to then build everything so fricking slowly is appealing.
I like gathering and crafting in most games but when you slow down the experience that bad... no. It works in The Forest, it doesn't work in Landmark for me... Maybe if they'd go in a sort of UDK kind of way (yeah sorry I'm old, modding days was with UDK ) to build stuff it could be fun.
Most of the time when they make you stay in the world with a character... you are battling the controls more than actually having fun. I don't have the time and patience for that.
The release of Life is Feudal: Your Own is closing in on the 17th of November. Not only will you get to experience the new DX11 render, but you will also get reworked art and numerous optimizations, tweaks, animations, new combat aspects and bugfixes too!
Watch our new animated trailer featuring narration by film and TV icon, Sean Bean (The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones) – never fear, we promise this time he doesn't die.
I remember when it entered EA i was interested in this title, back then the general opinion was that unless you had a group of like 4-5 friends playing at the same time, it took an eternity to build your base.
Dont know if that has changed yet, would like to see the new changes and features summarized up as well.

Soooooo, i see people talking about an update, hows the game these days? any humpy reviews?
I have two friends playing it all the time, ill ask them and ill tell you. The thing i know for sure is that they had to join a bigger "group" cuz they are alone couldnt progress. I have the game but didnt played it, ill give it a try then they release the Dx11 update if my friends keep playing it.
Performance and graphics better than ARK thats for fucking sure.
It takes a LOT from how Ultima Online handled skills and stats, could be interesting, now i just have to get with a couple of people and build and fight to see how that works.
I picked this up as well. Not got any mates who have the game yet but would like to start up on a fairly popular EU based server with fellow humpers and try and get us base building.
From what I understand you need more than 1 person to be able to do anything serious here and rather than just joining a guild and being told stuff to do which I dont understand... would rather learn with some of you guys.
PvP server I think is a must surely though right? RP doesnt bother me though either.
i just downloaded a copy of this that has some built in hot keys to connect to a specific server. I played this like a year ago or so before release last time, wanted to see how had progressed.
It's still pretty clunky. A lot of things just don't feel right about it. the whole tab to control your mouse look and not..is just lazy and doesn't work well. Other games seem to have no problem with figuring out basic UI things like this, but this game still struggles with it.
The UI overall is just ugly as shit. Hate the character doll screen where you equip stuff.
Inventory is a mess and looks stupid. Just give unlimited slots, but still track weight if that is what you want, at least keep things stacked and organized rather than a jumbled mess.
I don't really feel like they improved this to a release point since I last played it, and I notice on the forums some users saying that when it was release the version they released was nothing like what people had been testing.
I think this was another one of those ones that could have potential but yet another dev screwed it up.
The game may be a piece of shit from a technical standpoint (what else would one expect from a forever Early Access?), but that guy playing it is a completely daft fucking millennial that'd fail at tying his own shoes without a walkthrough! Holy fuckin' hell.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.
