Since GE is over, we can get back to previous activities, leaving Larae behind with her mobs
Been playing a lot with EyePatch, even last night we hit the survival and even tho it took around 2 hrs, it was a success, with him killing Hunters even for other players
The Division Dev on Possibility of Sequel, Continuing to Support Original Game
Quote:
Ubisoft and developer Massive Entertainment have supported The Division well after its launch in March 2016, and speaking to IGN, Massive’s Managing Director David Polfeldt indicated the developer fully plans on continuing to so long as players remain invested in the game. But that doesn’t mean successive titles like a sequel or other offshoots are out of the question.
Though no official announcements of a “The Division 2” have been made, and Massive's focus is squarely on The Division and the studio's upcoming Avatar game, Polfeldt indicated the studio does want to tell stories beyond the ones created from the first game.
“I think it's a wonderful, wonderful brand that has so many potential stories in it. There are a lot of things that we didn't do in The Division 1 that are interesting to look at for that brand,” Polfeldt said. “I definitely think there's lots of space for continuation which is beyond just keeping The Division online. But...I can't talk about that too much right now.”
Keeping The Division online and feeling fresh, however, remains very much a focus for the studio.
“I think of [supporting the game and players] as kind of a relationship. As long as you go to another date with your gamers and you feel pretty excited about it, and they seem to be excited too, that's not when you stop dating,” Polfeldt said.
Polfeldt's metaphor is very much indicative of Massive's approach to the game, though, as the developer finds more and more players flocking to the game.
“A long time ago, we assumed that we would have a much smaller player base by now, because we thought it would develop like many RPGs develop over time. But what has happened is that in fact with each patch since 1.4, the player base has been increasing again,” Polfeldt said.
Responding to the player base has been a key reason The Division continues to see updates — Massive wants “to honor the fans, and that's not something we can do with one easy stroke.”
And so changes to The Division have included 1.4 update, which added World Tiers and other changes, and the most recent massive 1.8 update, which Ubisoft dubbed the game's biggest free update so far.
“The way we see it is that our first obligation is to make The Division awesome. That's not something that ended on launch day,” Polfeldt said. “If it ever ends, who knows when, right?”
Polfeldt went on to elaborate on how Massive views The Division as an ongoing project, one moving closer to the team's original intent over time.
“I do think we are much closer today, especially after [Update] 1.8, to the game that we wanted to create, and also to the game that gamers were expecting at launch already,” Polfeldt said.
And that probably most players left anyways and won't come back.
You are very wrong - you should read the tons of threads on reddit "returning player, what build should i try?" ...
Thing is, it's not hard to understand either, since they made the character development based on items, instead of investing points into the character - it's very easy to play with builds and having pre-set loadouts, make it even easier on switching between PVE or PVP.
Beware! That guy is/was a pretty hardcore Division Fanboy with lots and lots of cases of heavy denial in the past. Not as much anymore, but one should keep that in mind when listening to his "opinions". Didn't watch this yet, fyi.
Game is amazing now. Been playing non stop since 1.8. Most fun I've had in a while. There is so much to do now. I quit back around 1.1 and it's quite impressive how much they have improved the game.
I just tried it a bit and its basicly...........the ............same..?
Theres underground, wich gets boring after a while.
Theres resistence mode, that is kinda OK imo.
Theres survival, but nobody plays it because sessions are too long.
And theres incursions wich is more of the same base game but with increased dificulty basicly..
Its just not for me , fighting the same enemies on the same missions over and over, with bullet sponge mechanics, its rly dull, but i guess im not alone, most ppl bailed..
I think, if I had never played it before now, I could probably enjoy it, for a while, but since I went through all the Main content when it was released, it just bores me to hell, every time I try to give it another go...
Grabbed it cheap and enjoying it so far. Much better experience then when I tried a free weekend a long time ago.
Good time waster for a few weeks methinks

1. Can I play entire thing solo? Even the expansion stuff?
2. Where do I find the season pass content? It says some reward vendor but I'm not seeing one.
3. Should I sell items or deconstruct?
4. Does hard difficulty affect item reward quality or just more credits?
Not interested in PvP stuff. Just want to do missions and some sides from time to time.
Thanks.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
1. Yes you can. Even the expansion can be done with proper gear.
2. Rewards vendor is in the BoO, 3rd vendor to the left as you enter BoO from the slow walking corridor ( decontamination ).
3. Depends on the level, if you're low on cash, sell, otherwise deconstruct. Later on you'll have plenty currency ( money isn't used except re-calibration, there's more important currency as DZ money, DivTech and Phoenix Credits ).
4. Yes, check any important mission, as they show you the rewards for each difficulty.
You don't have to do any PVP, i play only PVE, missions are a thing of the past tho ( for me ). I'm on Survival, Underground and DZ farming.

So my friend and I started playing this again. We’re only lvl 12 or so and doing the story missions and side quest stuff. We hopped in the DZ and we’re overwhelmed and got killed by a lvl 14 guy. Anyway, is there a non PVP area that has similar farming/gear options for us? Or should we just stick to the story? Thanks in advance.

For now I'd say keep doing the story missions, and once you reach max (30?) you can start worrying about farming and gear. Until then, there's little point.
Your first goal is to get to World Tier 5 asap really. That's when the real end game stuff is. It doesn't take too long to get there so don't worry, you'll go through tiers fast when you hit 30. Don't worry too much about gear until WT5 as well, just make sure to use highest gear score stuff so you can go through tiers fast.
Also, most people are on WT5 so matchmaking may be wonky on lower tiers.
Understood and thank you. I am actually enjoying the gameplay so although I know everyone says just rush through it for end game I don’t mind taking some time to do it. I’ll just stay out of the DZ and enjoy the PvE stuff in the meantime. It’s got decent pacing and the gameplay just feels better/good now. It will keep my interest at least until FFXII is out or I get that or whatever
