Got my replacement end of november.
Yesterday i noticed that the digital up-button is making some higher pitched sound. Like it's hitting metal.
Is it possible to fix this myself without voiding warranty? Probably not.
Also not sure if it's related to the gamepad or CEMU: But there i also noticed since some days that sometimes buttonpresses don't get recognized. |
The dig up button on my mates xbox one gamepad produced the same sound 4 months after purchase. You have to push it really hard now

Personally I use a DS4 with the DS4Windows app and have bought a cheap bluetooth adapter, too. Best gamepad I have ever used, 100% compatibility because of the tool emulating a x360 gamepad, looooong battery life.

After all, I think 360 controller was better.
What I don't like on xbox one controller are weird shoulder buttons, too long racing triggers which only feel good for racing. edge inside thumbstick is terrible and gets dirty quickly.
ps4 controller is great aside from terrible battery life and non existent windows integration/button prompts
Best to stock up on 360 controllers 4lyfe

The DS4 is way better than the DS3 - no shitty R/L2 triggers and actually built for people with normal sized hands.
MS really needs to get its shit together on the hardware side. Bought the elite controller almost 2 years ago, was great and all, when a while ago the rumble started making weird noises. Then the L1 button started misbehaving - very funny when playing Nioh. Then the fucking rubber handles started coming off because MS apparently picked the worst possible kind that expands due to hand sweat and heat. And all that for 150€...just glad i ordered it on amazon and don't live in the US where you get a whopping 3 month warranty.

Thanks for the opinions on the DS4 controller. Sadly here it costs around 60€, which is nearly 20€ more than the Xbone controller.
I will return it for a replacement for now.
But put the DS4 one on my wishlist, in case it gets on a sale.
