finally ms announced they will provide an adapter like they did for the 360 controllers. hope they release it asap, all of my 360 controllers are kinda "used" and the only controller which can succeed them is the one controller but it want no cable Razz

Need to buy a few 360 controllers soon before they are all gone Razz
Really hate it that both sticks are now always leaning to the left if i let them go (and thus make movement ingame on their own...) Sad

guess you have to wait for another 6 months but why wait for a bundle its only 24.99 ? right?
just buy it... i mean you almost get a 360 controller for that price but fuck it. it's totally worth it.
shouldn't it be released already since 3 days? fucking microsoft man.

you can already just connect a xbone controller with a micro usb cable Wink

the xbone controllers are great (apart from the first batch which was pretty low build quality. i'm even considering buying the elite version once reviews are in. it's massively overpriced, but considering i got about 8 years out of my old x360 one and the only thing that's "broken" are the worn down analog sticks, it should be worth it.

its not only the sticks that are broken, its the whole mechanic under the plastic. and that cant be replaced in the elites too (ofc it can be, it can be in the 360 ones too, but its not worth it). btw new thumb sticks can be replaced within 2 minutes on the controllers, replacement things cost about 25 cent per stick

i know but it's no solution for a long time. if you don't want to go wireless your best bet is to stay at a 360 controller because the usb jack on the xbox once controller gets worn out pretty fast. the cable will sit not tight in it after you plugged it in and out too often. check reviews. something that can't happen with a mounted cable.

that's why i'm waiting for a reviewer to take the elite apart. if it's exactly the same mechanic under the shell, they can go fuck themselves. otherwise, i'll gladly pay 150€ for a well built controller that will last me 10 years. the thing weighs quite a bit more though, which is a good indicator for the insides not being made out of shoddy plastic.

Am I missing something here? The analog sticks and trigger buttons are better built on the xbox one controller. The 360 controller falls apart substantially faster w/ usage. What exactly do people not like about the xbone controller? It's just as easy to handle, and it's better built. Sure, you can't buy a wired version, but you can just plug in a cable.

Explain please, because I own both controllers for gaming on my PC and the one controller has held up way better then my 360 controllers do. I was going through about 1 360 per year the analog sticks are that low quality.

the 360 controllers fall apart? ah cmon bro, have 3 wireless and 1 wired here. besides the plastic of the sticks they are still fine (and they are all ~7 years old). replaced the left analog sticks on two of them (cause pieces broke out of it), the others are still fine. completely new ones suck cause they hurt your thumb after 2-3 hours of gaming due to the hard nipples (yes i said hard nipples...)

Guess I disagree. I like the controller but the analog sticks and shoulder buttons ALWAYS fall apart on me. The xbone controller just hasn't done this to me yet and I've had the same one and used it just as much as my 360 controllers that would have fallen apart already.

Finally.
But i dont think its worth upgrading from 360 controller is it ?

Glad ps4 gamepad is not official on windows. The sticks are so loose and slippery...

if you want a better overall experience and a much better d-pad -> yes! got myself a one controller (new 2015 layout) for 30 euros last week, gonna wait for a decent price for the dongle (standard is 22 euros, hoping for a nice price around 16 euros before christmas). all my 360 controllers are heavy used now, not thaaaaaat precise anymore

and ps4 pads will get official support when the remote play app from sony is released, atleast it would be bad from sony if they not offering real drivers with that. though i always prefer the xbox controllers over the dual shocks

Feels great in the hand.
Wanted a white one, but only the black one was on sale.

I also got white xbone controller last month (latest revision) and wireless adapter.

It is so good. Probably even better than legendary 360 controller (I have 2 and both have loose analog sticks at this point)

Well, that Xbone controller didn't last long at all.

Since two days it just shuts off itself during bluetooth use. Already tried different batteries but always the same.
Only when using a cable it stays on.

Also tried that shitty Xbox Accessoire app or whatever it's called, that in theory allows you to do firmware updates to your controller (LaughingLaughingLaughing).
But it can't find my controller, even when using the Xbox data cable.

Luckily i bought it from Amazon, so hassle-free returns.

When looking at my grey 360 controller that after like 7 years still worked just fine mostly, this is a fucking joke.
But so is pretty much everything MS is doing lately.

just look for the reviews on the normal xbox 360 pads. microsoft is such a shitty company. nothing with quality comes from them. surface books shitty, overpriced and full with problems. windows phones utter crap. zune. windows 10 (store + apps).
is there anything good they did in the last 10 years?

I have an issue with xbone controller (have s controller). Both bumpers double click and feel kinda shitty. 360 controller is better in this regard.

If only 360 wireless dongle was not this huge pile of shit on a long cable.

God, this fucking POS gamepad.
Got my replacement end of november.
Yesterday i noticed that the digital up-button is making some higher pitched sound. Like it's hitting metal.

Is it possible to fix this myself without voiding warranty? Probably not. Embarassed

Also not sure if it's related to the gamepad or CEMU: But there i also noticed since some days that sometimes buttonpresses don't get recognized. Embarassed
