I think this is not the game for you if you have a limited time for gaming. Unless if maybe you dedicate all that time to this game.

Would also love a spare key just to check out how the game runs.
As I previously mentioned I don't like buying "early access" games without being able to try then and I can't exactly refund this game since its non steam

Nope. Even the so called open beta/stress test is only for a select few individuals.

Ok just bought that shit. Is there some best noob must read guide available?
Tried two rounds a scav - complete dark, no night vision. Still managed to get to extraction with no loot. What was the point of that anyway?
Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube

Thanks!
So right now when I jump in Scav mode I'm left without a map or anythng else to indicate where I should go? And the map must be obtained in normal mode?

You can buy maps from the doctor vendor. That'll let you decide where to spawn. But to be honest, I'd suggest doing offline runs (or scav whenever possible), and learn the zones that way without relying on maps. I played like 10-20 matches so far, and I know the Customs pretty decently by now. I only bring up my map to decide my spawn, nothing else.
Also, you can decide what time you want to spawn. At the start you can choose between 2 time zones, 12 hours apart. One is always dawn/day, the other is always dusk/night.

So any starting tips? Managed to get a hold of a trial key.
So far i've just jumped in a few games as a SCAV. Tried 2 factory and 1 customs. Killed a few games but no clue how to extract.

Google some maps, that's what I did. I found it way too boring to go offline looking for stuff when you gain nothing out of it so I learned the hard way while looking at maps on my phone.
Also you can just buy the maps from The rapist, that way you can see before you enter the game where all extracts etc are located.

Wow this game really wants you to open your wallet. I know I attacked it for being pay2win before I tried it but now when I have tried it myself I can only say it's almost worse than I imagined.
To gain influence with the traders you need to grind out missions, which from what I understand even gives less influence now. Said missions also often demand you to obtain things through channels unavailable unless you have higher influence, such as the therapist telling you skiers has a certain medkit when he in fact does not at level 1. Meanwhile to even complete his first quest you need to get your hands on high tier armor which you won't be getting with your starters/early game gear.
What a painfully obvious grind to force people into buying the premium editions to even stand a chance at some kind of progression
The concept is cool though and I love the weapon system it's just that it's just one long grind to be able to have some kind of proper fun

If you have the basic package, what is your usual loadout after a few hours of game? Don't you have some basic stuff to be semi-competitive, like an AK-47 with a simple scope and basic armor or whatever?

You couldn't be more wrong though.
The game pretty much puts you to collect stuff before you can actually buy them, like Salewas, Morphines, 60 round magazines etc. After you have collected them, you usually have the rep to buy them after.
Game is also even more fun at the beginning because every single drop you see matters really, now that is some proper fun running after those Kolpak helmets and Veprs. Once you are lvl 30+ like me, there is very little you will find on Scavs worth looting anymore, game is still fun but not as near exciting as it was at the beginning.
Also there are a lot of people crying about having to provide high tier armor for a quest early on but it really isn't a problem either, I have found 3 of those armors already since the wipe and I found the first one on the first day of playing. And if you have friends to play with, it becomes a LOT easier to do any quests as you can provide others with the items you need aswell.
And if you supply one guy with the quest items first, he can buy you all the items after that so you can do the quests aswell.
It is not p2w, more like pay for convenience but even less that now with the new item and weapon cases.
