A German TV show that is actually good and well directed and acted? I honestly didn't even think that was possible considering how terrible they usually are, i'm intrigued will give it a watch over the weekend.
I love the whole time travel theme. Ever since I was a kid. But this is... like Lost with time travel. I don't see this going anywhere. Feels like even the authors have no clue how this all could work out in the end. I hoped for a proper ending. Well - it ended as a pretty and polished piece of crap.
i agree, the ending, (the last 5 min?) where the weakest part of the whole season. dunno why, the end doesnt really fit..but not because of what happened but because of how it was presented..

the little "young" army in the military truck in an dangerous future..naaah, sorry, they tried to be tooo much to be like hollywood. they didnt need to..hollywood is lost anyway..the end (last 5 min. was weak) i give you that..But the rest, was intelligent, refreshing and the viewer was inversted more in it..You had to use ur brain a little more to really get and understand it all, and thats the stuff i miss from all those US movies/series..its tooo dumbed down..
so yes, i really apprichiate "Dark" since it doesnt view the user as dumb, and doesnt have to stick stuff in your face that you allready know..

Yeah the ending was kinda weakish, however the rest was great.

As for the show turning into a shitfest the Lost turned into,yeah, it's possible coz they are clearly entering some dangerous waters here using so much causal loops and all, but we'll know for sure only once the next season gets released. At this point predictions and fears are just that..predictions and fears.

Nah there is no official confirmation but the show even beat Stranger Things 2 in viewers for the first week: 2,97 Million to 2,31 Million for ST2. So it's not the question if there will be a season 2 but when, my guess is December next year again.
Bingewatched the series this week-end, really good, loved it ! Like others have said in this thread, now let's hope they don't fuck this up à la Lost, but the writers seem to know where this is headed and to already have their stuff wrapped up.
Only the future timeline could be a bit disappointing, being the unoriginal nuclear wasteland I figured it would be.
