I don't get this complaint. A studio can't have 2 teams?
When they say they'd love to do a single player story but don't have the resources? Can't maintain or patch their current beta within a decent time frame. Struggling to get vaulting to work and delayed its release. Performance is still bad for a game that generally looks like shit for how bad it runs.
That's all fine though, let's funnel resources and money into another project when they clearly can barely handle the one they currently have.
They hit gold, got shit tons of money and now they're trying to figure out how to spend it the fastest. If they have the resources to hire another team then they have the money to hire more people to finish the game that got them the money on the first place.
I played a few matches on the test servers and this is what I found:
- Vaulting/climbing is awesome and pretty much a game changer. You can reach some areas more easily now, but you can also get in and out of some houses without using the doors. These mechanics change the dynamic of the game completely. Vaulting/climbing don't make jumping useless, there is a learning curve on which to use and when.
- Climbing through windows (simultaneous use of jump and crouch) breaks the window now in a noisy way.
- Vaulting/climbing is binded by default on "space" together with jump, but it can be binded to a different key.
- There is an animation for opening doors which doesn't slow down the gameplay.
- All ground vehicles have new and better sounds effects (didn't get to test the boat).
- Guns handling seems a bit better especially when using full auto fire mode.
- Indoors lighting has been drastically changed and it's a lot more immersive. I didn't find any lighting bugs inside houses anymore and I pretty much played on any sunny time of day.
- The test build run extremely smooth. Using the same settings as on the actual game I had no freezes, stuttering or fps drops. I'm not sure if the test build is better optimized or this has to do with server's overload.
- The playzone's shield visual design has been changed and there is a visible line on the ground to better highlight where the shield is.
- Red Dot Sight and Holographic sight visuals have been changed and provide a clearer image.
which i dont mind, it sux that people pay money for that shit after buying a game already, but its not invasive and they letting me have a piece of the action selling them
i just dont understand the market swings.
but yes this spike i could atrebute to fear of the ea thing that crates might dissapear, or the chineze worry they cant buy it anymore after they get the game banned in china
