I am 100% for this.
Parents have been saying forever games make kids addicted.
Parents are full of shit.
I'm a gamer and as of today, I say games make kids addicted, because gaming has changed indeed recently.
Will you tolerate game studios to compensate interesting gameplay with gambling "experience" and positive feedback via lottery instead of overcoming challenges?
What are your thoughts?
"There will be no end to the troubles of humanity, until philosophers become kings, or kings become philosophers.", Plato.
"Hyperbole will destroy us all.", Matt Dillahunty.
"The hyperbole, the demonization of the other opinion and the unwillingness to even read the opposing opinion destroys the so important political discussions necessary for the well functioning of society.", Couleur

Any payement that goes beyond the original price and the occasional a̶d̶d̶-̶o̶n̶ DLC is pure and simple theft.
In-game stores, and of course lootcrates are a cancer, and anyone that participate in this farce should be ridiculed and shunned.

Couldn't agree more on the above.
Bloody UK will probably leave EU just around the time they stamp out this cancer of gaming.

Just cause you don't pay for it, doesn't mean it doesn't pander to your positive feedback and dopamine facilities, it's neurological!
And it should be banned.
When the motivation for playing a game is how "rare" decorative (or otherwise) item x is and not the fun or core-gameplay experience you're having, ... then the game tries to make you addicted and the devs tolerate this because they think it's not a big deal. |
Agree, I know ppl where gaming has completely taken over thier lives to dehabilitating point.
