Koei is certainly trying but I don't think this will be able to top the absolutely mess of a port that Dark Souls 1 was and in some regards still is.
EDIT: With the difference that it was From's first internal PC port even if they could have patched it up better, Koei is doing this on a regular basis and they all kinda fail in one way or another.

They didn't add mouse and keyboard support and only added two presets for graphics which are pretty much PS4 and PS4 Pro version of the graphics. It's clear that they put no work into this port but had no shame asking 50$ for it.
How much space does it take installed after all? Pretty limited right now, to my SSD, waiting to see what deals show up this month before I buy a new HDD.

So what is this game? Good or only for ninja fans?
Ninja gaiden or Dark Souls ?

What's the difference between the Codex and ElAmigos releases, besides the former being 22gb bigger?
I presume you won't have to install it if you download the second one. Just get codex, it's also available there.
PS There is a 22.25 GB repack on rustorka (gold torrent, you don't have to seed it). The installer is in Russian though but it's more or less self-explanatory.

Its Souls with some Ninja Gaiden sprinkle on top, basically if you're good enough with timing and stamina regeneration, you can play it almost like a Ninja Gaiden game.
In the beginning it plays 1:1 like a Souls game, but the combat actually has more depth and you can learn new moves as you go on and implement them in your combos.
While the combat is better, everything else is not up to Souls quality though, especially not the level design and lore.
It's still the best Souls clone though if you're yearning to play one.
It's still in an experimental phase and uses Windows 10's compression techniques (only ) but I was reading about a program called CompactGUI which has some potential for the future. Apparently it can lead to interesting results when it comes to shrinking folders, with practically indiscernible performance loss on SSDs: https://github.com/ImminentFate/CompactGUI/wiki/Compression-Results:-Games (it can be downloaded as well from the main page). I'm still on the same ghetto HDD from 2011 so for me it probably isn't recommended xD
Runs 60 solid maxed at 1080p for me though my rig is pretty good (rx580/3570k) The gpu use is kind of skitzo though constantly jumping around. Doesn't seem to affect performance.
Game is good. In a nutshell it's ninja gaiden meets dark souls. Lore and story seems a bit eh but its enough to keep me interested. I like the little green guys
I use CompactGUI practically on everything nowadays (games mostly of course) since there is basically no downside to it and i have a lot of roms and isos for emulators eating a shitton of HDD space so this tool is a godsend.
isnt it just a gui for a tool thats been in windows for years?
Yes you can just use the commandline if you like but it won't use the best compression algorithms making this tool by far the best and easiest solution.
