Now you're making me even more curious!
Will download the iso as well one of these days, so far I've played them all despite ending up regretting it almost every single time. It's a tradition though, doesn't matter if it gives me pain, I have to do it.

Well, I used their Bulletstorm Remastered release without issue (since apparently the scene never bothered with that release), so they're OK in my book. We'll see how it goes, if not, I'll be back here cursing up a storm, heh.
Yup, I used their releases/repacks many times in the past (Arma 3, The Sims 4 etc.) and everything went fine, usually they're trustworthy when it comes to putting together buccaneerish material

Ran into an issue with the installer on this one - it crashes about 15% of the way into setup. Someone claimed that it's possible to get it to work via transferring the contents of the ISO into a folder, then changing the comparability mode on the setup.exe to Windows 8.
Will report back.
Edit - Can confirm. The bolded method works. Albeit it's a pain to have to allocate an extra 50 gigs on another drive for the raw files in order to install. Think I'm just going to keep the raw folder and delete the ISO as the setup's fucked on it anyway.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Meh, fuck it. Grabbed the ElAmigo's release since apparently everyone else has better things to do!
There was a release out already and you are crying about some scene crap? Who cares?
Of course he couldn't help but squeeze this gem in:

And then, the game continues Call of Duty’s recent trend for allowing women in. A British female officer, and then in a larger role, a member of the French resistance. To the game’s credit, there’s barely any fanfare or fuss about this. The only disappointing part of it is that they’re the only two in the game, in a war where rather a lot of women took part.
Because, yes, an infantryman in WWII would have constantly been running into women on the frontlines.
Actually you would in the eastern front. Not constantly ofc, but they were "drafted" into most branches of uncle stalin's army.
Too bad that craptivision or any other major dev don't give a fuck about that front though, no " 'merica numba one" in there to sell the game with.
And give the guy a break, he's having lots of trouble to defuse the patiarchy in his kid caused by those misogynistic nintendo games
@KC: So is this CoD different or not after all, men?

I suppose I should probably expand on my already detailed review
As Sin put it, it's like a shit sandwich - although in my opinion, the filling is a little more like thinly sliced ham. Promises much on the packet but doesn't offer enough to be tasty.
The cutscenes are fine, but just typical CoD scripting.
The gameplay... I mean, as people like to keep reminding us, you buy it for the multiplayer. I guess so, but if multiplayer as gunplay like this.. then I might as well go back to the old CoD games. And as someone mentioned earlier, regenerating health would make a lot more sense in the setting we're given, because while health packs work in most games, the way the levels are designed in CoD WW2 means there are ALWAYS health packs around - as long as you brave open fire to run close to the health guy - who apparently has the weakest throwing arm in military history because you have to get right up close before he tosses one to you.
I can only imagine how irritating that's going to be in multiplayer...
Bottom line I guess, it's just a short story about brave men and their fight for freedom. With magic guns. And the usual bullet sponge mentality that CoD always seems to feel the need to employ - assuming you don't use a sniper rifle. Then you can be a no-scope God.
Great.

Hey the campaign is pretty great old school so far (About 2 hours in).
It looks and sounds great. The shooting feels better than in some last COD games and health packs are kinda working well. In some parts the graphics are just fantastic.
The game runs great maxed out except for stuttering/1sec freezing every few minutes.
It's still not cod2 though... It's too hand holdy and takes camera away from the player too often. Everything also looks the same. But it's very solid so far. Just be set to expect old school game with some too many "taking camera away" moments.

Campaign so far is pretty good , the graphics are surprisingly good, and if you are playing on veteran its pretty challenging, i like how some levels have multiple flanking ways to get into their bunkers/farms, also rushing is an option and is encouraged by your teammates, using smoke and what not to get throught some choke points, rly this is a rly viable way to get through on veteran.
As far as Mp goes, it is a world at war kinda of copy pasta but with smaller maps on TDM, on the new war mode game, the operation breakout that was in the beta is actualy much worst than the other 2 maps, those are much bigger with better objectives, ive enjoyed it a lot and it actualy gives you something new to the cod formula and much more teamplay oriented. Sadly there are only 3 of these war maps.
The port is pretty solid, i had no connection problems either or lag. Anyone bitching about this game is either not rly into cods and this wont change their minds, or just hating for the sake of it.
Its not top gaming, its just arcadey shooting but its fun and its well done given what it is. Its obviously not trying to go for BF1 feeling, this feels more twitchy and arcadey, and even BF has its own arcadey moments, its no arma either or insurgency.
Overall i would rate this in the same category as MW2/BO1 but without the ridiculous atachments/unbalance of mw2 and without (so far) the good story telling of bo1 campaign or mp map design.
I would rate cod games like this in no particular order:
I don't think it's bad. I've played only 2 missions, but it seems to an okay game. It's nothing exceptional, and maybe too much dramatic sometimes, but I'm still enjoying it.
Ah excuse me, the first mission is D-day where you get shot at and jump from the side of the boat? Pretty sure I played that mission before, like in a previous COD game, did they ran out of ideas?

That was Medal of Honor. COD never did the beach landing previously (first one was the airborne landings and the second one was the Russkies taking Berlin. There was also the Rangers taking the guns at Pointe du Hoc in one of them).
Finished. Pretty good but nothing crazy. I liked Infinite Warfare more.
This one was not too bombastic but not realistic neither. Great graphics but sounds are weird. Everything sounds like if You had plastic bag over Your ears. All of those games sound like this since bad company 2/battlefield3. It's this supressed but "loud" explosion and gunshot sounds. I just think cod2 was a better game.
But anyway - better than any recent cod aside from infinite.
in short:
It's like movie Fury(2014), while cod2 was like saving pvt ryan combined with Enemy at the gates and more bombastic at that.

CoD 2 did - but not Omaha beach. It was Utah, so a beach and cliff.
Rangers climbed that rock, lost almost all their men doing so, only to find the artillery pieces missing.
They found them later, a bit inland, by sheer luck and coincidence.
Also they bombarded the shit out of that place and only managed to slightly break the roof of one of the bunkers...
Anyways...
Did mission 4 and 5 now and meh.
It's more and more underwhelming, to say the least. It's like if Michael Bay made a B-Movie about WW2.
Oh and ever since I've been to Normandy myself and especially to Omaha beach, the recreation of these events or better locations in games is really letting me down.
Omaha beach in Games, i.e. the beach at low tide, is like 100m at max. In reality, you can walk for 2-3 kilometres before ever getting water deeper than your knees lol.
I know, because marched that far, just so I could do what one might consider as "swimming" lol.
