I'm finally seeing the finish line with my first map creation for the game. Ended up playing with the map editor more than the actual game and its been tons of fun. I really started making it because other maps at the time were boring and easy. I wanted a really aesthetic landscape but also a one map does it all type of thing for my playstyle. Anyway, here is my first preview video.
Thanks silent. This map has taken me a long time to get to where I am with it. More preview vids will be out next week to showcase other areas of the map.
Nicely done, but I assume it's not meant to have a city built on it?
No no, this is a map for city builders, others maps on the workshop have complete road networks built in taking away from the creativity and challenge. There is plenty of land to build on, from the small outlying beachy islands on the coasts to the rugged inland mountains and then the fertile plains on the north and south areas of the Island. I wanted a custom landscape for my map so I basically didnt have to keep beautifying as I built the city, a single map creation to satisfy what I couldnt find from the maps on the workshop when I started this map build, rivers, mountains, working water current system, total beauty and a challenge.
The one thing they did right is to come up with that game alongside that shitty Sim City.
It made this one tolerable... when it was actually rather lacking in depth.
But yeah it is the typical Paradox add-on pay model. While I enjoyed the game for a bit... I can't see myself spending money on it for the DLC.
CKII/HoI I tolerate the DLC on discount price because it fills a pretty niche genre: Incest simulator and Fascist world builder.
Indeed, as much as I enjoy their games/franchises, the fact that they release "1.0" versions which are strategically incomplete and ready to embrace such hyperaggressive Dee El Sees policies makes the decision easy for me. Good ol' buccaneerish ISOdemopack and all is well
Pressing the purchase button could eventually happen only for a hypothetical complete (final) version at a discounted Paraprice

Paradox has had mercy and does not sell each type of park separately. Thanks for not selling 4 or 5 dlc separated each one of a single type of park and at an even more expensive price. Being from Paradox I'm surprised that they have not thought about selling it like that...

I wasn't even aware there was antialiasing in this game to start with.

I finally finished and the map I was working on...
Farrisco's Isle is now live on the workshop. I thought it would be good for those using the parklife DLC but no paid DLC is required to enjoy it. Let me know what you think, it took me a long time.
The workshop page has more screenshots but heres a couple to wet your appetite

I think they are banging their head on the table now for not doing it.
Anyway, this is the reason I couldnt play the game, all the jaggies, so many jaggies... I tried all the tricks, reshade, nvidia inspector, couldnt get an AA. I found the dynamic resolution mod but it was playing up maybe id need to buy the game but cant risk that
