So in AssCreed 1 an assassin needed to have a finger chopped off to use the hidden blade. It wasn't until AssCreed 2 where that wasn't the case (da Vinci redesigned it?). Did they keep the chopped off finger requirement for Oranges, or did they retcon it?

I would guess it's a dagger and not a sliding blade, that said there's a high-tech advanced metal alloy door down in the temple in the starting village so I guess the not-as-ancient ones in this game might still have been around so it might be some artifact from them.
Well as long as the pyramids doesn't fly off and start bombard the cities I guess everything is going to be fine, game is unlikely to go full sci-fi this early on at least ha ha.
EDIT: Or perhaps not, ancient alien artifact would be a probe item not a knife.
Though Unity had that glowing sword of plot-inconvenience.
(Oh look you beat the game and got the hand on the Sexcalibur, but it's out of batteries.)
Probably just for the introduction section but you can't just fuck off and leave immediately, you do get some plot guidance and railroading before you can begin to explore all the different shades of sand in the game.
(Though granted there's some more lush areas usually near water so it's not entirely lifeless heh.)
EDIT: Ah it caches the images, yoink.

Not sure how my i72600k will fare, but hell, that CPU was value for money...running stable at 4Ghz for years. I planned to upgrade my System anyway at the end of the year, so this one will be the last game it has to tackle.
Ryzen + GTX1080ti and a switch to WQHD, this i72600k and GTX970-combo is still a nice system for 1080p-Gaming tho. Always good to have a backup-sys stored away...
Dong go ryzen with a 1080ti. You’ll bottleneck that gpu in some singlethreaded games by even up to 40% compared to a 8700k. Would be a shame.
Nah, first of all I want to support AMD this time with my CPU and tthen I will be able to just upgrade to Zen2, when it's available.
This is more or less a ~1000€ midupgrade and will be replaced with 4k-capable hardware as soon as it's available.
Talking bout Zen2 and Navi/1180...things like that.
So, there is no reason to spend more on a CPU than like 200 bucks for a Ryzen5 right now. I'll oc that to tthe max with the stock cooler and it will work fine for a year or two with WQHD. Might even think about a 1080, but then...the 1080ti will be worth at least 200 bucks in a year or two still, I'll hand out some serious cash once 'real' 4k-HW is available.
I tortured this 2600k for like 5 1/2 years now for a price of 240€. Pure value for money. I just need smth right now to boost my speed a lil for a span of 1-2 years.
The last AC game I've played and completed is AC 1, but I assume it's not necesarry to play the others to follow the story- are those games even connected(storywise) anymore?

I think only Desmond (Assassin's Creed: Ezio Trilogy) storyline was somehow connected, all other games don't really connect at all. Especially this one since it's origin.

Was just thinking that I have a 2600k for ages clocked on 4.8 ghz since I got it when it was released. Still play everything easily.

I had mine to run at 4,5 stable for years, but clocked it back down to 4Ghz.
If I need more juice for this one, I'll try, but well, it's really the last game this great CPU has to tackle.
