A 740 MB update was released, from how I understood it this mostly just undoes a couple of menus to erase Square Enix logos since IO is no longer part of them after the recent split but it had to update some of the archive files thus the size of the update and it being a bit slow since it has to patch the existing data files.
Mark this date on your calendars: October 24th. That’s the date when we will reveal brand new content for the game.
We’re going to let the announcement itself do all the talking, but there is one thing we want to clarify before then; this upcoming content is not “Season 2”. We’re saying that now to keep expectations in check.
- All missions & locations from the award-winning first season of HITMAN
- New "Patient Zero" campaign
- 3 new Themed Escalation Contracts
- 3 new Outfits
- 3 new Weapons
After the split, they obviously need money. Die hard Hitman players will probably get it. We'll need to see if the 4 missions are more than just reskins and if they really feel that different. If they're anything like the bonus missions they may warrant the price.

Aren't "Themed Escalation Contracts " just reskins?
The Complete First Season
This is everything that we created for HITMAN Season One. All seven locations, all bonus missions, all of the Challenge Packs, Escalation Contracts, Featured Contracts and more than 700 challenges! We’re talking more than 100 hours of gameplay and a game that we’re continuing to improve. See below for more of that.
New: Patient Zero Campaign
After the routine elimination of a target, a contingency plan to unleash a global pandemic is triggered and Agent 47 must race against the clock to prevent a virus from spreading. This four-mission campaign spans different locations in the game, each one re-worked from the original settings with new gameplay opportunities, disguises, characters, challenges, gameplay mechanics, AI behaviour and HUD elements. Bangkok, Sapienza, Colorado and Hokkaido look and feel completely different with a new time of day and new custom music created by the composer for Season One, Niels Bye Nielsen
i heard that elusive targets are well done and not your usual crappy contracts thats why i wanted to play them
even if i bought the game i dont like to have it installed for a year just to play some 30 minute missions every 2-3 weeks.
I don't really think they are.
Its the exact same mission with some very minor changes and a new person as your target.
I would sometimes spend a crazy amount of time just finding the guy which is very boring and then I found the walking path he took very safe which meant I just threw the rubber ducky so I could be sure I would pass the level.
@bart5986 Was talking about the campaign they mentioned.
But I thought it was just one new mission and three reskinned contracts?
Well in their blog post they said 4 missions in previous locations for the campaign which are "redesigned", new time of day with new opportunities and stuff.
This is a really scumbag move from their side, charging additional money for GOTY.
Episodes and full game with all episodes weren't enough so now there is even fuller game than the actual full game. WTF?!
