Anyone found some useful tweaks for the config.xml yet?

Just tried to lower that constant popping in of objects by increasing the Scene ViewRange. But it didn't seem to have an effect. Sad

Only thing I've found is this german site

Nice one, gonna try them later!

Very nice game Smile

Spend already 20+ hours on it during the weekend Razz

It's challenging in the beginning for sure, not sure of the later game as I've restarted few times. Never happy with my character / quest results. (You choices affect a lot Razz )

Apparently if your haggler discount drops the item price below 1 (and it's quite easy since it rounds down the result) it will disappear from the vendor's stock.

When you chat again with a vendor he restocks immediatly. So very easy for the flamethrower for example to get a ton of fuel.

That's a painful bug especially mid game when flamethrower is king.

look at the > < signs.

you're saying 0 > xxx

0 is not greater than any number -> it will not allow any input.

In this hack you know that 1st number is bigger than second, which is bigger than 3rd which is SAME as 4th number.

ie. it 'could' be 8 > 7 > 6 = 6 (but probaby not Razz)

err... why?

you have 2 different recipes for large healing potion. (if they both require same mats, then it does not make sense).

Pretty much everything he says is true though. I'm still hoping it gets better, but I'm going to finish DOS2 first and jump into Zelda.

John "my wife fucks my neighbour in front of me every night so I must be a SJW" Walker. The guy is a joke with historically ridiculous scores given to games back when he wrote reviews for PC Gamer.

To be fair so far he just said the beginning is crap which i agree with and pointed out several other flaws all of which are true, he didn't say the whole game is crap and at least for me the rest of the game more then makes up for the crappy start.

Yea i agree on that impression too.

But it seems i'm the only one here that actually is annoyed by the amateurish job PB is delivering yet again.
Most others are probably happy enough to just have another RPG.

It doesn't mean i don't have fun (i played this the whole weekend), but its just sad to see how lazy or incompetent PB is. And they don't really seem to have improved over all those years. Sad

Such reactions from journos when it comes to a very peculiar game like this one are expected, they are actually shareable to a certain degree because we're talking about something that feels low-budget-y and old-fashioned, with its pros (proper challenge, huge world, unadulterated RPG mechanics) and cons (robotic animations, occasional so-so writing, lazy interface).

The problem is, when the aforementioned journos go from bashing Elex to praising streamlined onebutton popamole, anti-customer AAA junk and pretentious alternative shallow indies made by their friends, that's the moment one realizes that their words have little relevance, they cannot be taken seriously and their bias gets exposed.

As I wrote some pages ago, the game does have many evident flaws, but it also offers something great that only classic PB titles can provide, a powerless Mr Nobody catapulted in a hostile world with no gimmicks, helps or big arrows, with tons of contents, interactions and ways to approach quests. The technical obsolescence will always be there until the budget remains limited, but I sure as hell appreciate the efforts and their idea of gaming.
