It's true it does NOT fit in anyway to the .... orc character, but it's on purpose as far as I know. (There's the conan episode someone linked).

I think I got killed by him in the beginning Sad ( I died a lot in the first hour/two as the learning curve was steep (but low), especially that I had not played the original almost at all).

I've only had a single death so far, and unfortunately i think the olog hai that killed me developed a mortally weak to burning trait after i shamed him so i had to put him down. He broke my sword in half before he killed me tho so at least i got a nifty new sword for my troubles.

The FOV is so fucking bad, I can barely see shit. When you're sneaking like 50% of the screen is Talion. Was my biggest fear about the game.

I use a controller but that's because it feels better for me with 3rd person games. However, aiming for me with a bow sucks as I can never get used to doing that.

It is very annoying, I'm not even a FOV whiner, but this is far too close for comfort. Hope there's a CE fix soon.

I'm experiencing the typical annoyances that are part of games that use Arkham-esque combat and Ass Creed movement.

My favorite is when I'm facing an enemy I want to perform execution on, and Talion targets someone behind him who's not even near him.

Arkham was the same, sometimes when I wanted to perform a special move on a goon near me, Batman would propel himself across the room and waste it on the wrong target. Laughing

Oh and when I'm in the middle of a boss fight and I want to dominate the boss, but Talion targets everyone but the captain. That's always great.

I've tried both the Cheat Engine version and the standalone exe, both work perfectly.
I'm using the CODEX release of the game.

I did notice a slight drop in frames, because it is drawing more on screen now.

I played for a few hours yesterday before the FOV fix and got a bit of a headache, hoping this will fix that. I had to use the FOV changer for the first game as well.

Should you just avoid the 12+ captains when you're just starting out? I find that on nemesis diff. they adapt to the few moves I have early on super quickly, and unless you juggle the endless adds like Batman, you're quickly overwhelmed.

Decently challenging though, hopefully the later skill unlocks won't be completely overpowered again.

Nice save point system they have. I quit the game after the whole main gate closes scene etc. and when I continue, I find myself at the very beginning again with a level 15 captain 5 meters away from me.

And then I beat the level 15 Captain with my level 2 ranger...

Yeah, immersion lol.

The game doesn't resume mid-mission far as I've tested but it should auto save for nearly every thing you do from picking up things to fast traveling or completing content such as missions or fighting captains.

Save files are spread between the Steam folder and the user folder for the main save game and then the user folder files also contains what looks like backup saves number from _1 to _5 and possibly more if you play for a very extended period of time.


Manual saving is always welcome when available though, I back up the save files regularly through manual copying / pasting of the save files just to ensure there's no issues with missing or suddenly lost progress and the game keeping a copy of the save data in both the Steam userdata folder structure and the User OS folder structure just seems like it's going to go very wrong if Steam Cloud is enabled and gets even a little bit confused.

Random crashes haven't been a issue but various missions bugs such as suddenly failing or during a fortress assault I died as the victory sequence played out.


Resulted in me having to essentially fight be battle again, warlord orc was the same but the fortress was under my control so I had my three orc team against my orc team in a blue on blue major fuckup of a fight. Very Happy
(Worked fine after I killed the orc leader again and ensured no DoT crap caused any unwanted issues the second time.)

The autosave is pretty bad. I stopped after i killed the captain at the start of the run to the gate. Next load was back at the beginning of that level.

Now i make sure that i fast travelled before logging out.

Game is a lil meh...very repetitive and I am not through Act I yet. Find that guy, kill him. Find the next guy, kill him. Rinse repeat.

Yeah...I just wonder what you need lootboxes for?! I am slaying stuff with low level equipment easily. Playing for 30 mins...quitting...trying again in the evening...quitting again after 20mins.

Not sure I'll finish this game in the near future, it's just so meh.
