This is quite clunky for a game priced as an AAA, the technical part is unimpressive and dated with a lot of obvious problems. Also, I thought this was supposed to be a horror game, the first hour and a half has nothing on the first 15 minutes of Resident Evil 7 and I don't see it getting much better. It really feels like a mix of genres that heavily dilutes the horror aspect.

No HDR support on pc, only for derpsoles. Yay moron devs. Fuck off. Not even worth pirating.

There is like only 1 real pc monitor with hdr. It's Dell UP2718Q. 1500$.
All other hdr monitors do not have fald and this one have 384 zones.. which is still not great. So HDR monitor needs to have very bright display and very dark display and without local dimming zones it's not feasible... and we have NO oled monitors and most OLED tv's do not work with pc for some stupid hdcp reason.

And most cheap "hdr" tv's are just fake. But there ARE much much more real hdr TV's than monitors, so it makes sense to support it on consoles.

Oh... and windows 10 hdr implementation is fucked

I know everything you just said already. So what? I’m on a proper HDR tv.

Shadow warrior2, Obduction, Re7, Ass Effect Andromeda, forza 7, shadow of war all support HDR and look great. W10 problem is barely an issue, having to flick a switch in display settings before starting a game with HDR. Gee

Apparently however i jumped the gun, there seems to be no HDR for any platform atm, prolly coming later via a patch.

As with the first game the "+com_allowconsole 1" command still works and it would appear that most (Or all?) of the debug console commands are working though you do get set to "Cheat mode." even for toggling post-process effects such as glare.

r_skipglare 0 (Which is the default but still activates cheat mode.)

And bound as a hot key toggle.

EDIT: The ToggleDebugCamera command also still works but there seems to be no way actual way to move the camera with keyboard controls.

There is a fix on RIN for that. I guess it only replaces the intro .bik's with null ones.

Shanking the shit out of deformed people looking for every last bit of loot?
(Dead or alive, well I guess it won't work if you're alive but you're handing over that brain fluid! Daddy needs his skill points.)

Well it's a new-age horror game I suppose, focus group needs their constant rewards after all.
(Worked pretty well in RE4 though, even if I vacuumed up pretty much everything in that game too in-between more serious story events and plot progression.)
(Oh you have a chain saw, and gold bars? Hand those over and die!)

EDIT: Well I suppose they're technically undead or zombies, bit less barb wire in this one though and instead some white fluid stuff and fire, and worms.
(So how many people were connected to these VR bath-tubs again?)

Last of us had those mushroom looking creatures but I guess in effect it works the same.
(You could run away, or you could kill them and get their goods.)

EDIT: And then Wolfenstein and Origins, lots of shanking.
(And Mordor, even more loot-shanking.)

EDIT: Well what do you know.

(Taken from: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=251656118&postcount=86 But it's a spoiler thread though that single post isn't too bad.)

The technical part of this game is a total mess. Anything past character models lacks details, the animations are clunky as hell, the popups are some of the most annoying I've seen and the texture work is just terrible. How is this a 2017 game and why does it stutter?

Needless to say, this development was met with absolute glee by pirates, who forgave the additional day taken to crack the game in order to welcome CODEX into the anti-Denuvo club Laughing

Makes you wonder a bit just much Arkane threw out of old idTech 5 when they made Void out of whatever remained.

New Colossus should be better off though having been shifted to idTech6 instead of trying to continue on idTech5 with "tweaks" or whatever Tango had to do to the engine to get it to run on modern hardware at at least reasonably stable 30 FPS for the console versions. Very Happy
(Probably still better than the code in the first Evil Within but not without issues.)

I've managed to fix banding with reshade (with cost of a bit of clarity in some scenes) but the game is still unplayable.

It runs fantastic. No stutters, very nice fps but always after 15-20 minutes it goes to hell.
When that happens, fps is good when I stand still but as soon as I move my mouse, it goes to shit and drops to single digits.

High performance power plan does not help.
borderless also does not change anything. Maybe it's gsync...

Game runs like shit for me. 3570K @4.7GHZ on water, GTX 1070. GPU usage never goes over 80% most of the time its under 70%, CPU usage is between 60 - 80% and still the game drops to 50 FPS. Thats even with my GTX 1070 running at 2100mhz core , 9000mhz memory. Doesnt seem to matter if I drop settings much either, still total poo Mind Is Full Of Fuck
