I hated the infinitely spawning enemies, was a deal breaker for me. It killed all the immersion, I mean what's the point of killing enemies if there's no end to it? I really hope they have fixed it because i liked the combat.
Anyone here managed to use a geforce experience code for this? i always get a technical error message telling me to try again later... been going on for hours now.
So, apart from the last point which is new, exactly the same as the first game. People need walk-through videos for common sense stuff like this?
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

People actually buy this? Watching some streams and it looks horrible.
Game looks exactly like the previous. Easy boring gameplay. Nice buttons on top of enemies telling what to press. Orcs standing around waving their sword while u kill the others one by one. Even some nice lootboxes to top it off.
The guy was running after a quest guy or something and a few orcs spawn out of nothing on top of him from the air.
Do you need loot boxes to complete Shadow of War’s final act?

But never once did I spend “real” cash on a loot box, save to see what happened for the review. (It was crap, honestly.) Never once did I feel the need. I had over 40 legendary weapons and armor pieces at the end. So again, what’s the point? The very fact that I’ve written all these words to show that’s it’s not so bad in Shadow of War demonstrates how thorny the issue is and why it probably shouldn’t have even been implemented in the first place. Yet as we already know from the news of players spending billions on loot boxes and similar items in Blizzard games, someone’s going to buy this stuff.
Shadow of War’s approach doesn’t seem so much predatory to me as misanthropic. It merely makes it easy to get stuff that’s already easy to get, and that, ultimately, is what leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
Not yet... I think prudislav's post impiled it might not be new version after all but we can't know for sure until it will be released on Steam.. which is only few hours towerds..
well i just finished that stupid dishonored 2 dlc and now im looking for my next "fuck *insert publisher name here* lulz denuvo cracked" game to steal...
so hopefully this or evil within gets cracked soon.
Unpacking the game takes 10x longer than downloading it (assuming you have high speed internet).
Steam should seriously improve unpacking performance (at least multi-thread the process for gods sake)
I think a earlier Steam update this year allowed for it to be dual threaded at least, still I'd prefer just withholding the game exe and other binary files in a separate depot to be downloaded as the game unlocks and then that takes care of any possibilities of a early leak.
UPlay and Origin used to do this, now however they make use of a server-side time check instead in addition to whatever other DRM the game might be using such as Denuvo.
Would be a lot faster than downloading some 100 GB of data and then unpacking it, less hammering on the HDD too if it was a direct download instead of a packed archive.
EDIT: More control over the update process and the download process wouldn't hurt in general, download scheduler being random and setting one game to download nearly immediately after Steam detects a update and another having some 20+ hours added to it unless you start it manually.

Easiest is to just use the old method of missing binaries and important files in range of like 500 MB tops and relese them when its out.
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D / MSI Gaming X Slim GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER / ASRock B650 PRO RS / Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 / G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo 2x16GB DDR5-6000 CL30 / Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB / SeaSonic VERTEX GX-850 850W Gold / Lian Li LANCOOL 216
Thanks guys, it seems that encrypting the whole game files makes indeed very little sense, especially when 90% of if is media data (video, audio, textures...)
It seems the unpacking is CPU bound as the throughput on my SDD drive tops at 20 MB/s maximum...
out now on steam ....67.32 GiB + optionsl 21.75 GiB 4K textures and 11.44 GiB 4K cinematics
also that "New DRM implementation branch" is 21 day old ... so the race is on
Now that's how it's done... if only other publishers could learn with this (bethesda and your crap but unfortunately not optional MP for DOOM, I'm looking at you )

If you find that Dishonored 2 DLC stupid why did you even played it? Now looking for the next pirated games, srsly? Yeah sure this is a pirate forum (well more or less). But you sound like an entitled little begging brat. If you wanna pirate it that's your choice, but stop being a crying entitled kid.. Yeah I too pirate games and movies sometimes, but I'm not gonna post every fucking time on a forum about it.
I'll just wait for the complete edition, by then there should be cheats to get free lootboxes prolly anyway if you actually need them/want them.

because i loved dishonored 1, dishonored 1's dlc, and dishonored 2. why WOULDNT i play dishonored 2's dlc?
and youre damn right i want to pirate bethesda and warner bros games, because if they want to behave like pieces of shit, they arent worth my money. those two companies are some of the scummiest, most anti gamer pieces of shit currently in gaming, and they are doing serious damage to one of our collective favourite pastimes, so i make no apologies for, yes, wanting to - on principle - steal their games, because fuck greedy, shitty, anti consumer fucktard publishers.
it has nothing to do with entitlement... consider this 'voting with my wallet'.
