144 FPS would be pretty tough to hit consistently without sacrificing at least some other graphical effects, more so for a single GPU (EDIT: Though a 1080Ti is quite fast.) and seeing the visual options that the recent Call of Duty games have featured (And the performance of said games could have been better too.) for this game of what I've seen in screenshots you have several demanding effects and then also display resolution, rendering resolution (So sub or super sampling being possible up to a 4x increase over the display res and probably down to 0.5x for performance.) and then there's also temporal AA which can further have it's render resolution modified.
The game even seems to have a VRAM cache function that will fill up near all of the available GPU memory for use as a cache though it can look a bit funny seeing 8 to 12 GB GPU's being fully loaded up but that's by design for how that option works.
It does also feature that whole P2P connectivity and host migration as a bit of a drawback which can lead to lag and stutter when playing online, mouse behavior also seems heavily tied to framerate with unstable performance leading to jittering and such when moving the mouse around.
Played a few rounds yesterday and gameplay wise it's not bad. But performance is absolute shit thanks to memory leaks, fps drops and so on. Oh, and party play didn't work so that was... not fun.
The overall gameplay feels too much on a side of spray & pray and TTK is weird.
But those damn radars, airstrikes and all the other cancerous mechanics are killing the fun for me.
And servers, omg the terrible servers. Why the fuck don't we have real dedicated servers at the end of 2017 when all the games until MW2 we have played lag free?!!! It drives me crazy how almost new game has plain and simple terrible servers.

Why? Because P2P crap is cheaper and they have possibility to kill the game in front of the upcoming one.

So, played a round of WAR, 6vs6, max number of players in this game... and it's still Call of Duty, so if you don't like COD MP, chances are you won't like this either.
It's absolute Arcade Shooter levels of rubbish, imho.
PS: We won and I did 45 kills lol. It's way too easy to kill in this game.
You guys are crazy. Graphics look ok. It's certainly not looking like 2007 game (gfx wise)

Hands down one of the the best CODs! The sound in this game is so awesome, the level design is beautiful and great! The graphics doesnt seem as grainy and washed out as some of the later CODS. Always loved WWII games, but as most people I got tired of them 10-15 years ago, but its a good thing FPS devs revisit WW2 era Yeah, BTW got a new PC so its nice to see how good games can look
just played one match (game actually crashed directly after the round ended). but it feels good, gives back memories from the glory cod times (and my skills are still there )
but i dont think i will buy it, dunno. it feels slowed down on purpose in some aspects (ofc to suit the cancer kiddies at consoles)
gfx wise its ofc not great, its average at max (the intro video for the mp part before you choose the division already game me laughts, and cancer)
Who cares about graphics if it's actually playable though? I would rather take gameplay that works over graphics any day.
Graphics are so frickin overrated.
For some reason I liked this for the few War games I played, need to try the other modes too. Still no sign of these performance issues or FPS drops people meantion
graphics arent everything, thats correct. but every call of diddy just looks the same (in a bad way). you see the origins of the core at every edge of the game, and thats still the quake 3 arena engine which is fucking 18 years old
but they get my money if they bring back mp_carentan

Well I haven't played a single COD since Modern Warfare so
Maybe it's the nostalgia that is getting the best of me as we used to play TONS of COD:UO, such a fantastic game it was.

To my surprise I have pretty much no performance issues
Turned of AA and running at 1440p everything else at max I think.
EDIT:
Played one round of War (attack+defense) and used Fraps to record the FPS:
played couple of hours. i think it's a disgrace to original call of duty/uo and cod2(even cod5).. it's just garbage. bad netcode, stuttering etc. small shitty maps and so on..
its good for a cod game but bad as everything else, they shamefully copied so many things from bf1 like weapons getting dirty, players informing one another about enemy location, bayonet charghing etc.
its a close quarter bf1 but you can play bf1 team deathmatch mode and get more for your money
Just tried it, jesus COD multiplayer is derp, game itself will probably be enjoyable experience in SP mode like always. GFX is not too bad, runs constant 100fps+ maxed out and has proper ultrawide support.
One thing impressed me, was the sounds, they finally stepped up, very nice.
dunno, derp is different. its close quarters, fast paced action like it was since cod1 and luckily its ww2 again so no bullshit vertical stuff jetpack whatever stuff. thats a great alternative to battlefield, cause its smaller and the rounds are fast. though i havent looked into the killing spree rewards etc, that always was the derp part
Finally I had some time to test this. In a short this feels more like Blops 1 DLC than a standalone AAA game form 2017. Graphics are dated to death and in general game offers pretty much 0 new innovations or ideas.
EA should definitely revive MoH WW2 with modified Frostbite engine or such.

Thankfully Denuvo isn't as formidable as it once was, so I'll probably yarr for the SP and shit+delete when I'm done.
Edit: First attempt at multiplayer - massive lag spike followed by disconnecting from host. Second attempt at multiplayer - blatant waller tracks through walls.
Great matchmaking too, 1 bar connections everywhere. It makes the inconsistent hit reg even more inconsistent. Lovely.
Why bars instead of actual ping? Why can't I set my mouse sens using numbers, instead of moving a slider with fixed increments?
So consolized.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

This last patch fixed FPS drops for me, but after 10 or so more matches all i can say for this is shit. We are at the end of 2017 and we get P2P servers?! Fuck that.
And again the focus is entirely on kill streaks and cancerous gameplay mechanics.
All the talk about going back to the roots, but i don't remember CoD 1 - CoD4 running on P2P servers and no aim assists, FOV and higher frame rates being advertised as something spectacular. It was a standard to have those things.

They are not p2p, the matchmaking is p2p, but its using dedicated servers, they just dont give you a server browser.. i havent had a single migration or lag tbh.

Are you serious? They introduced the "divisions", basically offering an exclusive add-on to your favorite weapon (bayonet, incendiary shells...). Amazing idea that will change the face of the FPS industy for the years to come.
