dunno, cant help myself but it indeed feels a bit different. a some stages the game feels slow (aka good) and a second later it goes into overdrive speed
but finally a proper pc version, though the more crisp gfx dont really bring much. it looks strange, maybe reshade will help. for online again the game isnt working cause its only playable with huge patches. but for offline couch gaming or simply master league players or whatever its called its great
nope
i think it was french, italian and spanish league with all teams, england only a few (rest has correct names though, but not kits etc) might be even the case for la liga, dont know exactly anymore and this list of other teams.
Germany: Dortmund, Leipzig, Schalke
Turkey: Besiktas, Fenerbahce, Galatasaray
Russia: CSKA Moscow, Spartak Moscow, Zenit
Greece: Olympiacos
Belgium: Anderlecht, Brugge, Gent
Ukraine: Dynamo Kiev, Shakhtar Donetsk
Switzerland: Basel, Young Boys
Sweden: Malmö
Romania: Steaua Bucuresti
Czech Republic: Slavia Praha
Colombia: Atlético Nacional, Millonarios
Peru: Sporting Cristal, Alianza Lima
played a bit more: crosses are op as fuck, its worse than in fifas darkest times. havent had the feeling while playing it with a friend, dunno why. but here now 9 out of 10 crosses -> goal
edit: have to revoke that. its bad for offline (single) players. just went full manual controls and played on the second hardest difficult bvb vs barca. won easily 8-2 (now guess how i conceeded the goals, yep crosses, undefendable), could have been 15-2 if i would be used to the aiming completely. nope sorry, konami, i dont know what you did but thats not how it works. crosses op as fuck, manual through passes and lobbed through passes too

Like it happened with its electronic not-so-artsy competitor, the demo didn't really impress me. The visuals are obviously a massive improvement with actual shaders, lighting/shadows and proper textures, though the final result is still a tad off, with a somewhat "cartoony" aftertaste in my opinion (especially when compared to Fifa). All the rest is pretty much the same-ish with its pros and cons: the game can be fun to play, but the trademark rough animations are still there, the AI has the usual blackouts and often just stops - completely forgetting about marking, only with the addition of floaty physics this year where the ball tends to stay in the air too much as well as occasional unresponsiveness.
I'm not sure I like this version more than the 2017 one to be honest, it seems to me that there's been one step forward (the graphics, on PC at least) but one backwards too involving the gameplay. Fifa 18 might have a ton of problems as well, but the demo felt like an improvement over the 2017 version (then again, not a difficult achievement).
In the end it's always the same story, no matter which side of the fence you're on, football games do not offer a satisfying representation of football. There are too many flaws, too many limitations and scripted boundaries, what we have now was sufficient years ago, but today with all the advancements and technical possibilities watching Fifa and Pes in action is like watching a cripple fight.
edit:
My very first match was blessed by this beauty though:
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
neither, modding tools for the demo. first one allows adding all nationals teams for example. new version will support to modify the formation, modify game settings, half time length etc
I couldn't resist and I bought it , 23 euros anyway...no harm.
First impression is very good: I started a masterleague, tried most of the training and the shuffle mode for now, and can't complain a lot.
I can actually say last time I had this fun was with a PES was with Pes5-6: new animations and general feel over the pitch make the difference. Ball physics is really good, no pinball effects and quite good goalies (not many weird reactions there, for now).
Of course, I had to apply the option file patch to fix teams and championships, plus the internal update: that is still a not good part for Pes...
I still have to try online part, anyway overall for now the game surely worth 23 euros, if not more, imho.
I was quite surprised by the game personally. Seems really good. The ball physics are still awful though, and they are not consistent. Sometimes they are good sometimes they are not. Don't know if its because of the camera angle but its just weird.
The whole buildup play is really nice but when its time to score it doesn't look very good. Its anti-climatic in a way. The new Fifa also has that problem now although not as much. Can't explain why, is it the goal nets ? Or the camera just staying still like nothing happened.
Generally I'm quite impressed with the improvements. The LOD is also quite good, I can see the players faces even from the wide camera. On Fifa its just a blurry mess.
yep, thats why you feel that on fifa too, luckily the full game lets you adjust the net tension (and you might got used to the shaky fifa cam when the home team scores)

Maybe yeah, didn't even noticed the shaky camera in the past but now that its gone maybe I miss it. Hopefully its changed in the final game.
I saw this video of great net physics, even in an old game it still looks great.
