its not bad writing. its a bad idea, two seperate things. remember, both jon and dragon bitch are, well... fucking idiots, basically. thats characterization, not poor writing.
i mean theyre poorly written characters, sure, but its at least its consistent for stupid characters to make stupid decisions.

Nonetheless, that fits perfectly with their origins, as they are Targaryen's and according to story they have always done impulsive and bad decisions.
As for the main events, I strongly believe that Bran has something to do with the Night King. I think that the Night King has the same power of the 3 eyed bird.
Also, liked the Stark sisters ending, as they put an end to that nonsensical story and Littlefinger was a very good character at the beginning who the writers didn't know what to do with him.
Liked very much the political approach from last episode, a remembering of the good old first seasons.
The last sex scene was completely unnecessary.
Liked also the new path for Jamie who has always been a good soldier.

We're missing some quality GOT games, like Dragon Age like rpg would be nice, of those released only the adventure game was nice.
Some classes
Bronn - fighter/rouge
Jamie - 2DH penalty for losing hand
Theon - 16*(RAND [1-10])DH penalty for losing cock, useless class, panics easily and runs away at random
Briernne - palading/knight, two handed sword
Podric - wizard, specialty cock-magic
Tormund - berserker
Night King - necromancer
Joffrey - cunt
maybe an action RPG.

He took his chance.
And as for political view, it was a plan full of bad decisions, they could have put an end to Cersei's kingdom. Cersei with a few guards and the Mountain which is the equivalent to 20 guys. On the other hand, some of the best fighters of Westeros and two dragons.
But it was an outstanding plan for Cersei and that's the whole point.

I didn't watch past 2 seasons because reasons.
And half the shit happening this season would've been epic and amazing had they actually developed anything.
Lil Fing' plotting dexter s06 style was lol and then the EPIC TWIST was like... ummmm... ok. How? Why? Where? When? What? Who?
The whole 'tense' exchange between the main parties was like... there's NOTHING HERE. NOTHING AT ALL SHOWS THAT IT SHOULD BE AS TENSE AS THEY PORTRAYING IT TO BE.
The only tense scene was with the zombie thing but i found out it's not a zombie because there's already a zombie and this is a different kind of zombie a dead zombie or some shit.
Terrible season. And the whole ending scene was like... LOL. Soooooooooo They were planning to get through. They already had a plan to get through and yet through magical plot... they got a dragon to help them get through an impossible thing.
Also horrible green screen throughout. Horrible CG. FFS when this one bitch was talking on the green screen the cam was handheld FFS. She was noticeably moving while the background stayed still. Like... TRACK MOVEMENT AND MARRY THE SHIT TOGETHER SO IT MOVED TOGETHER. 
Rushed. All rushed. Stepped out because couldn't handle the dumbdumb dumb. Found out the fat kid and the slut girl showed up out of the blue to discuss the thing they found out two episodes prior because plot device.

The funny thing is they didn't even have to go through "an impossible thing". They could have just got around The Wall via the ocean either on their own feet (as we saw water doesn't do anything to them) or building a shitload of primitive floats(lots of wood there, beyond the wall)
I think it was decent enough. It was certainly better than 99% TV shows out there considering the scope of it all.

The banging between the dragon and wolf could have been put some more love into though.
