Ok, Lots of New car threads, so heres mine
1991 Mercedes 190E
First, lets look at what it was like when I got it -
Then I took it into the garage, fixed the small bits of surface rust and sprayed over it and got the buffer out and gave it a good buffing to bring it back to its original colour, lets take a look at the difference it made
Before -
After -
Half and Half -
Then it was time to polish it up, Oh Yea -
Now that all that was done, it was time to get a Rear Spoiler on it, I went for the Mercedes Cosworth Spoiler, as you can see, it makes a real BIG difference in looks
No Spoiler -
Spoiler -
Then time for a incar MP3 player, I went for a JVC and kept the Pioneer 150 Watt Rear Speakers that came with the car as they are good enough for me for now -
Now its Wheel time, the Mercedes Cosworth alloys look quite good I think but they were starting to corrode and looked bad up close so it was time for some new Team Dynamic 17inch 5 Spoke Alloys -
Heres a quickly Photoshopped pic of what the wheels will look like on the car -
Got Mirrors Colour Coded Yesterday, need to get a pic of them up
Things left todo -
Get new Tyres for new alloys
Get Tyres fitted
Fit wheels to car
Spray front grill and window wiper arm black (started to fade)
replace rear drivers side light (started to fade)
get clear indicator kit
Try find cheap mercedes cosworth body kit or mercedes evo 2 bodykit

Those pics are the EVO2 kit.

And the price is only like 2000 Euro for a complete kit..

fail to see how a kit ,wheels does either and dont see the point in adding them if you arent going to upgrade the cars performance to match.
makes about as much sense to me as getting a Bugatti Veyron carbon fibre shell and putting it onto a normal slow car and thinking your ride cost 1.7million $ and can do 250mph

But otherwise, amazing stuff. I want a car like that. Even if I'd be a billionaire, I'd like to drive a full white or black version of that. |
you drive on of those fast cars with and without a spoiler, you'll know why its there

On a car designed to go at high speed, on a racetrack, yes. spoilers are used to push the rear of the car down so that it is heavier on the asphalt as it goes faster, to increase tire grip in order to allow the car to go round curves easier without sliding out. On a household car, the extra grip only makes your car less efficient on petrol, and creates extra wind drag. The only time you're going to drive fast enough for the spoiler to be of any use is on the motorway, and motorways are straight
The only benefit a spolier would have on a mercedes is aesthetical, if you like that kind of thing. Each to their own and all that, but I'm guessing dude probably doesnt have it for speed purposes
