must have been ridiculously cold then for supposed single night to freeze a lake to the point of holding whole undead army ... judging just by physics alone
Feels like after 6 seasons of hearing fans nonstop bitch about "nothing happening" maybe they just went "fine fuck it, you want fast paced? We will show you Fast paced".
In the end i just dont care about some of the nitpicks (that i cant explain to myself) and am able to suspend my disbelief enough to just enjoy the ride (unlike the books that bore me to death)
Yeah, the fans that are ignoring every flaw of this poorly written show (for seasons now, because there are no books) are at fault here. They must be the reason that everyone teleports around, Bolton has no scouts in the entire fuckin north, army battle formations have only one set of spears (but a giant shields for visual effects!) pr Bolton shoots at the giant instead of Jon Snow. Need I go on?
Kinda hilarious , when the ep leaked , everyone was like "best episode ever" and now when it aired people say exact the opposite thats "Worst episode ever"
As for the "teleports" as i said couple episodes before they should post add little box in every scene with GPS location, exact date and time and just to be sure summary of all the people on the scene. And to be sure on every line ... possible reference points to pevious episodes . not to get people.
I guess i am just able to suspend my disbelief enough not to care about silly little things (and some of them are fine if person pays attention to whats said) and dont want to watch a single travelling scene which fucked up the books fo me
These "silly little things" pile up like crazy. If you have to ignore so many elements of an artistic creation just to enjoy it, maybe that creation is not that good.
i dont know call me stupid or ignorant or whateves but not that much for me ... but i guess some people value "realism" much higher than me and i dont need everything explained in detail ,,, but in a way what i feel that they had script planned for morethan 7 episodes and had to shrink it by removing what you would call important details and i would call fluff
also i didnt say anything about ignoring ... for me enough explanation is that some time passed but dont care about exact details about travel speed of creatures and stuff (i guess i have to thx the books for that).
.. and yep maybe its not that good but still miles ahead of any concuent fantasy show like Shanara
Badass arya and wise sansa are really, really badly done ( but I guess if I did say that somewhere on the internet I'd just be called sexist or something). As for the downfall and
Spoiler:
the zombie dragon it feels kinda cheap. To me a much better idea was if at the final season's showdown the ded men suddenly pull 3 or more zombie dragons from their ass because why not? They could have them from past fights with the southerners
My main problem isn't even the space/time continuum errors, at this point it's just the dumb cliches all over

I don't call you anything. I said it before and I'll say it again, it's no problem enjoying something, it's a problem ignoring or defending its flaws.

Similar opinion, although I'm not liking how clumsy some scenes have been.. i.e most of jon snows scenes in this episode. With more care, thought these scenes can't make sense rather than be retarded and hard to watch. The stark sisters and little finger are also being handled poorly right now.
its game of motherfucking thrones, bitch!! i dont think realism is the issue its the poor and lazy writing that we're having problems with.
the answer to everything CAN be magic.. im fine with that... just write the magic stuff properly so that its interesting, creative, cohesive and consistent, and im totally happy!
i think we all did, given that we're still watching this shit when we would have mocked the shit out of it and stopped bothering if it was any other franchise...
Spoiler:
it was just reflection/light playing on the eye when he came out of the water
Contain spoilers for the recent episode, And a minor spoiler for the sixth book, Nothing to do with the leaked scripts though.
Spoiler:

The writers admitted that Jon's plan to retrieve a wight is not something that will happen in the books. They mentioned how they envisioned the scene in the dragonpit, with Jon and company showcasing the wight, and imagined what it would take to get to this point. They described the venture beyond the wall as "doing the trick"
Possible spoiler for future episodes, but more of speculation as nothing confirmed yet.

There were many references to succession in this episode: Dany and Tyrion discuss it directly, it is mentioned (again) that Daenerys cannot have children/her dragons are the only children she will ever have and there is also one more subtle nod that comes when Jorah gives Jon back Long Claw saying "May it serve you...and your children after you". These references to the next in line could be foreshadowing of Dany being able to fall pregnant with Jon due to his kings blood/blood of the dragon.
Just watched it... feck it really has become silly these days.
I'm ok with letting some shit fly, but constantly getting hit by the derp bat over and over and over and over... no. They should reign themselves in a bit (a lot).

Superfans usually can't wait so I'm not that surprised that the initial responses will be positive.
“We were aware that timing was getting a little hazy,” Taylor told Variety. “We’ve got Gendry running back, ravens flying a certain distance, dragons having to fly back a certain distance…In terms of the emotional experience, [Jon and company] sort of spent one dark night on the island in terms of storytelling moments. We tried to hedge it a little bit with the eternal twilight up there north of The Wall. I think there was some effort to fudge the timeline a little bit by not declaring exactly how long we were there. I think that worked for some people, for other people it didn’t. They seemed to be very concerned about how fast a raven can fly but there’s a thing called plausible impossibilities, which is what you try to achieve, rather than impossible plausibilities. So I think we were straining plausibility a little bit, but I hope the story’s momentum carries over some of that stuff.”
“It’s cool that the show is so important to so many people that it’s being scrutinized so thoroughly,” he continued. “If the show was struggling, I’d be worried about those concerns, but the show seems to be doing pretty well so it’s OK to have people with those concerns.”
whats annoying about that, is that they think theyre doing a really great job but some of us are just being party poopers, which just isnt the case.
we've been happy with so many fantastic moments up until now, its just because theyre going about things in such a cack-handed and lazy way that people are taking note of all the bullshit.
we're fine with bullshit as long as its written in such a way that we just get caught up and swept along with the story.. but when the writing is so tragically shit all of a sudden all the implausibilities become so glaringly stupid.
in short, im not surprised these people have their heads so far up their asses that they think theyre actually doing a good job with the writing.
The last sentence of that interview sums up the issue in my opinion. At the moment, they simply couldn't care less about the various inaccuracies or the narrative taking a massive and very much noticeable nosedive, they just look at the glaring numbers, they look at the immense cult-like following that will never find the willpower to abandon the show no matter what, and they proceed to doing their own streamlined superficial Holly-thing focused on memes and special effects.
This lack of quality control/depth will eventually hurt the product, but it's such a popular one that by the time that happens the (main) show will be wrapped up, leaving room for the dozens of milky pre-side-spin-off-ish productions already planned that will instantly spark people's interest again. The Game of Profits

Why the hell people will leave the show of its still objectively one of the best shows on TV despite some of of its flaws
Non of you guys stopped(despite all of your criticsm).
Correction, it WAS one of the best, and that's why we're still here.. We're so close to the end we might as well see it through and many of us are curious to see how it all ends.
The only things that give this show it's "best evarrr" status, are it's mega budget and admittedly talented cast (mostly) and directors. Without that, the show would be at the level of any other fantasy show.
