Yep, servers are overloaded, it's better to wait half day.

Update from a community manager and a developer:
Quote: | Due to very high player load, we have had two full realm crashes so far. We will put a queue in place (to keep player numbers at safe levels) while we investigate the problem. We are very sorry about the inconvenience, we understand this isn't how you want to enjoy launch day! More updates to come as we solve the problem.
Edit: We're bringing the realm up soon with some potential fixes. We'll keep you updated with how this goes. Thank you for your patience. |
Quote: | While we're certainly not blaming this for the problem, some of the load is caused by community members relentlessly spamming our ladder API with various tools. We'll be blocking this to reduce the load. Please be considerate of the rate limits that you apply to your usage of APIs, as they can affect game performance for everyone.
I want to stress that this isn't the core problem. It's just making it worse. We're still working on finding the root cause. |
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

What are these tools they're referring to? What are they used for?

I'm guessing it's trade announcements and checking statistics and such, not quite botting but it does put quite a load on the servers getting requests spammed constantly particularly during times when the overall load is already very high such as during a major update when returning players are coming back to check the new changes.

I'm fairly sure they've removed the difficulties because there is enough content / acts to not require them.

You gain a few refund points during leveling and there are Orb of Regrets. Wouldn't recommend using them on your first char though.

I haven't played the game for ages...
Is anyone else playing a witch here? What build (that wouldn't depend too much on a proper gear) would you recommend for a lvl 50 character(56 points left).
1) Lenovo Legion 7 (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3080 16Gb, 32Gb DDR4, SSD 1TB +2TB
2) SFFPC (streaming via Moonlight+ Sunshine)

Is labyrinth worth doing at level 35? Also, so many comments regardings labyrinths seem to be negative -> boring, too long, tedious, disconnections, crappy rewards, etc.
Thanks!

Maybe not at 35, but do it at 45 to be safer in there. Also get at least one flask that stops bleeding. Quicksilver flask is also very handy, you should always equip one and keep it on cooldown. At first the lab seems long, but always check where you are (you can do that at each entrance/exit) and take the shortest path. The lab is all about ascendancy points, you get 2 for every lab run (act 3 - no idea where the other labs from cruel and merciless are currently and uberlab) 8 in total. These points define your class. You don't need them at 45, but the earlier you get them the easier it will be for you, just be careful in the lab, because the lab is a rogue-like dungeon.
I recommend to follow a guide or at least watch some of this videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaFHfrY-6uGSAvmczp_7a6Q
I wish they've been there when I started with PoE
TL:DR DO THE LAB

They are stored server side, possibly some net issue on their end or you could try a different realm.
I'm not sure if characters differ depending on where you log in come to think of it or if the characters are shared.
(Been on Amsterdam since I started playing the game, noticed today London had 32ms and Frankfurt 30 compared to Amsterdam with it's reported latency of 34 but it's not much of a difference.)

@krell1983
What about ascendancy skills? What should I take for a firestorm build (elementalist tree)
1) Lenovo Legion 7 (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3080 16Gb, 32Gb DDR4, SSD 1TB +2TB
2) SFFPC (streaming via Moonlight+ Sunshine)
