thing is we have no idea about time between storylines and if they take place at the same time .. the fact that scenes appear in same episode dosnt mean they take place at the same time in relation to storylines of other people and because of that it might look like teleporting (because they are skipping the traveling fluff i hate in the books) as there is no indication of time
... Sam's timeline it looks like he was doing lowly task and then suddenly healed jorah in one day ... but thing is the pooopsoup montage could be summary of months of his life => so looking at it in way of miles per eisode will look as teleporting for sure, when there might be scenes withing same episodes that are weeks apart from each other ( Euron traveling to the Rock by boats in same timeframe Jaime travels to Highgarden on foot .... in this ep)
Ok, but that's bad writing. The series with so many characters was always a cluster fuck in terms of plot progression but this could be remedied by some exposition in dialogue, someone mentioning some paralel things happening. Like mentioning that Lannisters are amasing army. It would give some perception of time and place plot wise.
Also, some scenes happen in relation to each other. Eugon is a good example. He couldn't have made the decision to ambush Yara before she made the decision to sail (and whoever betrayed Khaleesi - assuming it wasn't the writers - relayed that to him). So, since the moment Khaleesi had that talk with her advisors and decided where to send Worm and Yara & the Dornish, Eugon managed to sail to three different places, whereas Grey Worm only mangaed to reach Casterly Rock. How's that logical and/or consistent?
@Aquma : well we doint know if Yara and Grey worm set sail at the same time ... probably way later (most likely Yara was already gone when Grey worm got the scissors action)
... but who knows , recently when it comes o television i came to the conclusion that i dont give fuck about overthinging shit and just enjoye the ride but still interesting to talk about
but yeah i also think there is a traitor in Khaleesi's company .... especially the Davos/Misandei convo was suspicious
He could have split his armada after he had received the news from his spies. We don't actually know how large it is. The dragon whore's fleet was definitely split into two.
He was there personally to capture his niece and these other women (for obvious reasons) but I doubt he was leading the attack on the Grey Worm's ships.
I think thats quite a reach... the sea defense of the rock, and the absence of troops to defend it, and the knowledge/plan that the attacking force having no food, no escape by sea and having to soon abandon it, seems faaaarrr too orchestrated between the two forces... and cersei and eugon never would have planned or coordinated anything until he returned with proof of his loyalty..
so its either bullshit magic time travelling teleporting nonsense...
@prudislav Sure, man I also think that scene with Davos and Missandei was pretty suspicious. And her betrayal would be pretty heartbreaking for Danny. But it seems a bit far fetched too, since she's one of the few people who could've killed her with ease. So why not? It'd have finished the war before it even started. It'll be interesting to see how they explain the Lannisters' knowledge of Khaleesi's plans.
What Chiv mentioned is pretty much why I assume Euron's fleet wasn't split - his first interaction wirh Cersei was about proving his loyalty. It's a far cry from heavily coordinated assault plans. Then again, I guess this fleet shouldn't even exist, so maybe I just shouldn't expect too much from the script
In terms of pure entertainment value, I'm more concerned about the fact, that - aside from Euron's ambush's shock value - the general plot seems really predictable so far. I can almost see Jon and Danny hooking up now, maybe so that she can get betrayed and killed shortly after, leaving him in charge of everything she built (after it somehow gets revealed he's actually a Targaryen too - and already a king nonetheless - which makes him a natural successor). Also - 6,5 years in and Winter still hasn't really come

@Morphineus
Ah, hahaha, sorry, that one's on me
i want cersei to win. i hate the bitch, she deserves to die... but then, nothing (at least originally) was ever about what anyone 'deserved'. of all the characters in the show, shes the most ruthless, the most clever, the most driven...
shes the only one who, realistically, WOULD ever win.
but... will never happen, because we need cersei to be dealt with before everyone can join up all SUPER-FRIENDS style to fight the walkers for a glorious battle to save the realm...
pity. id love to see the end of the show be cersei winning and then watching as the walkers sweep across the city as her army falls... probably with a fucking smile on her face as she sips wine not giving a fuck that death is coming

I don't know man, this story/show likes to set up obvious shit and then do something completely different.
yeah, like that time jon snow managed to make a simple trip down to see the dragon lady, without managing to get captured, killed or otherwise fuck everything up like he usually does every single time he has a simple fucking task to fucking accomplish because hes a big stupid fucking twat.
im sorry, i dont know what came over me there.
either way, im pretty sure cersei wont win. i really wish she would because.. ugh.. i hate her, but honestly, i really like her as a character... but i think the show really has set up two villains and its pretty clear which order they'll have to be fought in. i will give the show so much credit if it somehow manages to surprise me on this point, but i dont really have much faith in the writing team any more.

I'd just laugh my ass off if they would one-shot those dragons with the ballista That would be glorious - almost 7 seasons of growing, grooming etc. just for a headshot
Also - it would be much cheaper to animate than burning stuff

With the way things are going that's not that farfeched.
That would be absolutely perfect, a beautiful cynical anti-climactic resolution that would be worth for Daenery's reaction alone. "I'm the only queen, kneel before me you insignificant peasants and taste the breath of my epic drag...oh shiiieeet!"
In my case I just blame the fact that I can't take the show seriously, not anymore at least, which is why all the inconsistencies and teleporting magic bother me very little at this point. An eyebrow gets risen, but then I try to embrace the journey for what it is and that's about it really.
After witnessing to improbable stewie wonder training sessions, psychics, snow-y zombie jesus, mystique X-powers, random demon babies popping out, pope francis' story archs, you want a good girl but you need the bad pussy, I find difficult to even try to analyze logical patterns (well, the lack thereof xD) since the internal rules of the show are often inconsistent and conveniently shaped.
A lot more power behind a ballista than a manually handled spear I see at least one dragon getting killed by it, maybe not at once but from its wounds. There's a reason why the ballista was shown, the series is very predictable in that area.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

Yep absolutely, I've pretty much completely written off the dragons now that they've shown that ballista.. they could have cleaned house with the Lannister army and that naval fleet with them now as well but whatevs.
Daenerys seems a bit foolish sitting there whilst her armies get wiped out but still listens to her advisors when she wants to do maximum damage with her dragons.
its almost as if her advisors want her to fail.
The night is dark and the road is long. Come on dead men, return to your homes.

It usually is that she fucks things up because she is unexperience twat that makes stupid decisions that her advisors have to clean up afterwards.
