Hob launches September 26!
There. We said it. This is a yuuge milestone and we know you’ve been waiting patiently for a release date. Want more? Good, because we've got more! Let's start with the new trailer:
After both the Runic co-founders Travis Baldree and Eric Schaefer left (Double Damage Games), it was somewhat expected to see a change in the formula, let's just hope it's a good one. I don't mind the stylized graphics for this type of exploration/puzzle adventure to be honest, as long as the level design is solid I can see myself enjoying this..maybe!
Patch released about 15 minutes ago seems to have shored up the FPS as well good news!
Not an amazing game.
But really enjoyable and really excellent control and a very interesting world space for me. If you are not a fan of these kinds of games though, then you're not going to suddenly be one. But 6-8 hours at this price ain't bad for this game.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
very interesting little game, hooked me very fast. graphics arent good at first but once you get used to it its fine, it dosent matter in the end if the gameplay is good
I can see your soul at the edges of your eyes..

finished it too and its a great game, every year there is 1-2 great indie games and this is one of them. was longer than i expected and left me wanting more too.
What a pleasant surprise, this game is a clever little gem of level design and charming atmosphere. I just finished it as well (took me ~12 hours) and I agree with pretty much everything that you guys said, it really is entertaining and explorative whilst never losing the main focus, a metroidvania-ish title based on lite environmental puzzles, platforming (smooth but not awesome button-powered) and basic combat too with upgradeable abilities.
It's never challenging despite having multiple difficulty settings (I would suggest to play at least on High, otherwise it literally is a walk in the park) and there are never hectic moments and/or demanding bosses to beat, but the formula based on the sense of discovery with no HUD elements and subtle narrative along with the act of unlocking hidden paths and shortcuts gives a nice rewarding feeling, it's always great when the levels come together and connect like a circle.
Plays fine with m&kb too, and while the visuals are on the simplistic side the result is a well-crafted one thanks to the inspired art. All in all, an enjoyable experience (easily a 7,5/10 for me), not flawless but unique and recommended to anyone who's looking for some competent platforming 'n scavenging.
damn sad to see them go .... but with the kind of games they did and being owned by Perfect World it make sence PW killed them
, but maybe they can do some real indie studio now
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
