At this point with the constant feature creep, years past the original release date, and news of financial troubles, it seems like we are likely approaching the point of collapse where they go bankrupt. Whether anything like what they originally pitched actually ends up seeing the light of day, who knows. But don't hold your breath.

Though it will stay in EA for probably a few years. After that it either will just die off like many other crap open-survival EA games. Or they just decide to leave EA-state in its buggy and incomplete state anyways.

They are making 100% of the profit now, no reason to give Valve a huge cut of their sales.
2020 sounds about right .. we know it, they know it and its being developed with that in mind, by then most will be able to play it on low settings and 20m visibility

Yeah Nforce was a pretty cool forum once. Open minded, anti establishment. I can remember I came here via the isonews. Time flies.
Ya me too, started from the nforce days because this was a goldmine for pc gaming news and in general the userbase were an older generation of gamers discussing both game and industry in depth. I've often thought it a wasted opportunity this site didn't rebrand into a legit gaming community as you just couldn't find a better source to discussion.
Anyway not to derail further, we can get back to bitching on users that cbf even visiting/posting here anymore.
I doubt this game well ever be 'released', instead choosing to keep updating and selling jpegs, until only 2 people are left buying them. This is way too much a gravytrain to just stop.
It's a shame there isn't more regulation in regards to game development and having to deliver - I don't know how it would work, but I feel something needs to be done in the industry - too many examples of terrible work, using the names of IP's and/or people to make as much money as possible with very little to show for it.

And all this information, from reduction of the scope in the launch of the game, is brought to the backers by the media. The CR$ does not even appear to speak directly to them about it. Shameful.
It's never coming out guys. They keep releasing these trailers and working on the game,doing presentations at gamescom and releasing weekly and monthly video's on the development progress.
Releasing new iterations of the game from time to time. Hiring hollywood calibur actors, recording their voices and mocapping them. It's all a big scheme and everyone's in on it except you guys.
