So as part of my console collection, I managed to pick up a PSOne with the screen on top. w00t.
What are my options with this silly thing to play my totally legal and legit backups?
I think it's a mod chip, but the info I can find it so old, I can't tell what's the best/most relevant option.

What does it mean to be "stealth"?
If I am goddamn atrocious at soldering anything, what should I do? Is this easy? I don't even have a soldering iron anymore, which one should I get for this sort of thing?
I have literally soldered once in my life, and it was a Wii modchip when those were all the rage, and I was scared shitless the entire time, and somehow the goddamn thing worked when I was done.

stealth means its undetectable by the system. that was a thing back in the years for psx an ps2 that some early modchip couldnt boot games which hat a protection against that.
soldering is easy as fuck. you just need a small soldering station and a patient hand. you could try ask a little local electronic store if they can do it for you (thats what a friend of mine did, oehm 20 years ago)
but make sure to check the version number of your psx, dunno if that thing is working with that. ps one portable are most likely a few revisions

Alright damnit.
Got my fancy new soldering iron, got my PSOne opened up, ordered a MM3 for PM41 (2) board, and my wiring diagram.
Once my MM3 gets here, cant wait to fuck it all up! Damn those solder points are tiny, and I don't even really know how to solder!

Good GOD.
Didn't know what the fuck I was doing, could barely operate my stupid soldering iron, stabbed a bunch of shit all over the PCB, was pretty sure I fucked the whole thing up. Blobs of solder everywhere, total ass job all over the place.
Said fuck it, burned a disc, tossed it in there and booted up.
Holllyyy SHIT game booted.
