Rough, might be a bit better now that the netcode part was improved.

The game is brutally hard, but a ton of fun. I've played maybe 45 games solo and am yet to win. Only got top 10 twice, but I'm learning more every game. I have played duo and squad with randoms and it can be fun, or very frustrating depending on the person obviously. No doubt it would be better with a dedicated partner or squad, but it's very fun and addicting solo as well.

I win more games in solo play than in groups.... Its very hard if u dont have good teammates and the part that knocking someone out and then having his mate res him up, its annoying, means that if u fight from afar with cover, its an endless shooting match lol.
But yea, i have a LOT of fun playing solo, its a lot more tactical and forgiving than in group matches for me.

It's... sparse, minimalistic. I'm not advancing much these days because I'm busy IRL, but what I did see so far was worth it. Got some Twin Peaks vibes, more amplified after each chapter Weird, almost absurd shit but strangely pleasant. If you're into eerie adventures with a minimalistic approach (click here, read - go there, interact with 4 or 5 choices - feel clueless but you're really not) I'd say it's worth it. Has soul. Also, stylish gfx and sound are a +1
EDIT: mind you, the last chapter isn't up yet. If you'd like to binge play, maybe you'd want to wait. But I wouldn't get my hopes high to see it released before 2018

Going through the backlog little by little.
Currently near the end of the first playthrough of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.
And holy fuck the amount of grinding, going for 100% completion might have been a little too optimistic but I'm trying to stick to it.
The main game itself isn't really too bad, do activities in-between missions which consume a little bit of time each (You have just enough time to do all activities in all but one case I believe.) but the side missions and hidden tasks can really drag out and on top of this you have dungeons and veteran missions and then for New Game+ you get access to Crimson missions and the second ending to the game with a third playthrough being required for getting the third and last ending plus some by-that-point not really too great extra rewards heh.
From my understanding this wasn't really meant to tie into the Crystal Chronicles of Final Fantasy but it got kinda shoehorned in with the story getting some tweaks here and there, feels a bit disconnected but I guess it's about the same for Final Fantasy 7 compared to Crisis Core ha ha.
They definitively go all out with that "M" rating too, blood is pretty much everywhere though gore is limited to puffs of red clouds whenever you "consume" bodies for the life force "phantoma" though the overall death count is probably the highest in any Final Fantasy game ever at least thus far. (Something like half a million or so soldiers - and civilians, including children. - at this point in the game, going to get a lot higher still before it's over.) Radio chatter also also constantly have nearby units being completely annihilated in some way or another.
If it wasn't a handheld game they could probably have built up some really interesting story and gameplay elements without going so far with grinding and side missions and other trials, Agito tower for example requires winning 100 fights in each of it's five main rooms before you face the boss though it is somewhat of the ultimate bonus dungeon I suppose.
The Steam (And console.) "HD" version adds some visual tweaks such as replacement character models for the main party members of Class Zero though they look really out of place compared to the other character models or their older appearances which is retained in the pre-recorded cutscene sequences.
Really impressive shaders though and effects like screen space reflections and ambient occlusion also help, game even supports temporal AA and 2x and 4x SSAA though most textures are just poorly filtered and upscaled and for most of the more important non-player characters at best they get a improved head model.
Performance is pretty good but it's capped to 30 FPS, not too sure if that can be changed but I don't think there's much in terms of third party utilities for this game, it's a bit niche after all.
Anyways, going to be interesting to see if Square will port over the Final Fantasy 1 and 2 games at one point, probably some half-arsed mobile port again and then there's Final Fantasy XII HD and XV but XII was just released on console so a PC port is probably a ways off and XV is still being patched with new and revamped content so that's probably not seeing a PC port any time soon either.
(Square also doesn't seem too concerned about PC ports in general although some subsidiary studios like Eidos do a OK job but yeah, don't expect too much and don't expect patches at all it would seem like heh.)
All in all not too bad for a non-main Final Fantasy game although there's not really much of a connection aside from them keeping a loose connection with the lore and established universe, it's even using real time combat which gets pretty chaotic and the AI isn't exactly the greatest whether it's your own team or the enemies.
(Difficulties also straight up debuff or buff the enemy, it gets pretty ridiculous with hard adding +30 levels and v.hard adding +50 ha ha.)
Don't think there's too much else to say about it, try to not go for 100% completion because it will probably eat upwards of 50+ hours whereas if you primarily follow just the story missions it's noticeably shorter but then again JRPG or RPG in general so there's going to be some padding allowing the player to explore and take on side activities for ridiculous challenges and minimum rewards.
Also cleared Dead Rising 1 and Dead Rising 4 and might write up something about them later, this post is already a bit of a mess as is and getting quite lengthy but yeah, Dead Rising 1 was the better one of the two by far.
And surprisingly it also turned out to be the longer in terms of game length unless you pick up every little collectible spread around the game world.
(DR1 has something like a six hour time limit plus overdrive adding another hour or so, DR4 was over in just over six hours with little else to do but collecting extras.)
EDIT: Oh yeah while the game strives to tell a more dramatic war story they do still fall into a lot of anime tropes and since it takes place at a sort of academy or school there's a lot of tropes surrounding that too.
Gameplay also has each character being specialized in a different type of weapon (One even uses a flute of all things.) and while Final Fantasy has a pretty impressive range of spells (All the way back to the first game on NES.) it's compressed down by quite a bit for this game with the better spells locked behind various conditions so going right back to grinding again.
EDIT: Nice to have that out, finally done with the first playthrough ha ha.
Probably putting this on pause again, secondary run through the game should be faster but eh not a huge fan of the last couple of areas but the default ending wasn't too bad.

Went back to Baldurs Gate 2 for about gazillionth time to finally finish it, the writing and characters are out of this world imo only rivaled by few games and with widescreen mod (or EE but i dont like that) it still looks good.

Path of Exile with a friend.
Horizon Zero Dawn solo.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
