I think they'll stick to 30fps at all times with demanding games, even if the consoles were to be much more powerfull. You sell more consoles with better graphics than 60fps. Why not use the extra power you get for more eye candy? 60 or even higher fps is years and years away IMO.

yes, and also dumb that they're releasing this and then not making any exclusive games for it. just going to be few more textures and effects on the games already out there, and surely the people who have 4k/hdr sets will just use the xbox one s anyway? or buy a ps4 pro.

anyway like above comments say, sounds like this isn't anyway near powerful enough for proper native 4k, especially not 4k60.

That`s what i love about VR gaming, they HAVE to run smooth to even work, if only the same rules applied for all games.

“moderate the temperature a bit around where we are and not tell people this is the year of VR.”

It's not the year of 4k in games either Very Happy

https://mspoweruser.com/dfc-intelligence-predicts-25-xbox-one-exclusives-20-million-xbox-one-x-sales/

DFC Intelligence is a strategic market research and consulting firm focused on the interactive entertainment industry. They regularly put out reports which discuss the worldwide video game market and forecasts. This report is available for around $4,000 to interested parties like Microsoft so that they can make informed decisions when it comes to new franchises and other initiatives. Well, DFC Intelligence made some interesting predictions about the Xbox One X a few days ago.

According to the firm, the Xbox One X will sell upwards of 20 million units by 2022. The report also forecasts that by 2021 the console will sell approximately 17 million units, and that would bring the Xbox One family of devices to a title more than 60 million units sold. They also said that Xbox One would get around 25 exclusives between now and 2018.

That doesn't instil much faith when all the exclusives they revealed looked like unimaginative, generic crap.
