There is icy footage but it's pretty rough/shallow at the moment, not exactly marketing-friendly material. It can give an idea though Razz

Well we can't be seen to actually crash the car now can we. Maybe there is a hidden developer mode that programs the AI to never actually get in your way... the complete opposite of pcars 1? Laughing

http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/project-cars-2-limited-collector-and-ultra-editions-detailed/0182278

Quote:
Bandai Namco has announced pre-orders for Project Cars 2 are now open for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Three different special editions will be available at launch in addition to the standard version of the game, but two of them are exclusive to certain retailers.

Starting with the Limited Edition, this will have the same RRP as the standard edition and will be available across all three platforms only from GAME. This includes the full game, a sticker sheet, steelbook, and an exclusive pack of four Japanese cars from Honda and Nissan.

The Collector's Edition, meanwhile, will come with everything in the Limited Edition plus an eSport Live VIP pass, an art book, a 1/43 scale diecast model car of the McLaren 720S, and the season pass. This will be available at all retailers.

Lastly, the Ultra Edition will be exclusive to Amazon and will be limited to 1,000 copies. This includes everything in the Collector's Edition, but instead of the McLaren model, fans will get a 1/12 resin McLaren 720S instead. It will also come with a signed poster (although by who is currently unknown), an individually numbered Snapback cap and an official McLaren sketchbook that follows the development of the 720S.

Project Cars 2 is currently set to launch later this year, and to celebrate the opening of Project Cars 2's pre-orders, Bandai Namco released a new trailer featuring the McLaren 720S in action, which you can view below:

MULTI-CLASS ACTION
Passion for motorsport is embodied in the fan-requested multi-class racing that allows drivers to compete in a field of multiple car classes which replicates the world’s most famous endurance racing championships, past and present. Whether its iconic cars from the golden age of sportscars, modern prototypes, or GT3, all classes of car can now race together in either single or championship mode as Project CARS 2 scores the driver’s position not just overall, but also in-class.
Capturing all the thrills of motorsport means drivers competing in any car, anytime, anywhere, off- and-online, against both in-class competitors and other classes too.
Feel the adrenaline rush as you close-in fast on a GT race car in the coldness of night at Le Mans in your Le Mans Prototype; scan your mirrors on a wet day at the Nürburgring as a Porsche 911 GT3 R monster bursts from the fog and cuts past your Renault Clio as if you were standing still. This is motorsport in Project CARS 2.

CAREER MODE SHOWCASED BY E3 SIZZLE TRAILER
Showcasing the open structure of the Project CARS franchise, the E3 Sizzle trailer presents the game’s “sandbox” approach to its career mode that allows drivers an open path to achieving their motorsport dreams. Drivers can begin their motorsport career in grassroots series such as karts and race their way to the very top echelons where many of the world’s most prestigious brands and cars await; or they can choose to begin in any motorsport discipline; or even go straight into one particular type of motorsport, and spend one or multiple seasons in that championship. With 9 motorsport disciplines to choose from, a racing career has never been more rewarding or challenging.

OPTIMIZED HANDLING
Project CARS 2 delivers an unparalleled racing experience for players of all skill levels. Bleeding-edge visuals, precise car physics, revamped confidence-inspiring gamepad controls combined with advanced and newly refined tire grip and slip physics that provide drivers with optimized control and feel in all situations, and enhanced, realistic A.I. make Project CARS 2 the most immersive and technically-advanced racing simulation on the planet.

Project CARS 2 will release on September 22nd 2017 Worldwide for the PlayStation 4 system, Xbox One, and PC.

Yep, and it works well and by default if your Rift is connected (-novr launch parameter to disable it)
It put my GTX1080ti to the knee though (for now, hopefully optimizations are still to come).

Game performance (non VR) is quite impressive, I just did a simple test but I got 60fps @4K with something around 60% GPU usage Smile

Goddammit, now I'm getting giggity Razz
That's nice to hear, though like the guy mentioned, it may be an elaborate ruse where the few cars with accurate physics were made available to the public, and all the others with flabby handling are being kept under the rug xD

Consistency was a problem in the first PCars, some specific vehicles and categories (like the Touring/GT one) received a much better treatment than the rest, with open wheelers generally being surrounded by an aura of sad trombonism. Let's hope for the best really. The release date is pretty damn close so who knows what the Bell's cooking Laughing Shifty Fellar

It seems that they've added a slider for the AI aggressiveness (at last), along with the proper Multi-Class option, both very much needed Razz

It's also possible to have real world weather for the GPS-located tracks, and apparently, fully animated pit stops will be in. It's good to see that the final patch for Project Cars 1 will be reality
